A computer that is good enough to run BC2 all pimped out is also good enough to run BF3 at good quality settings. In fact, BF3 is supposed to be more optimized for PC than BC2 was.

As far as I know the Alpha was only DX9 and was pretty much a stripped version of the game. Not to mention it was an ALPHA.
