Assassin's Creed 3

The foreign language that’s used in the game is Mohawk which is an Iroquois language. So I’m guessing there’s going to be Iroquois characters in the game, and this assassin is probably Iroquois.

Edit: Which is cool because the Native American languages are some of the languages that I don’t have very much experience with so it’ll be cool to hear them.

I want to swing from trees like tarzan

"The new Assassin is the son of a Native American woman and a British soldier. His calls himself Connor, but his birth name is Ratohnhaké:ton. Born into the Mohawk, he eventually crosses paths with the Assassins in his search for righteousness.

Connor is quiet and stoic, letting actions speak for words rather than conversing with others. In contrast to Ezio, Connor is a freedom fighter who acts in the name of justice rather than on personal revenge.

The game is set between 1753 and 1783, meaning we will be playing a good chunk of Connor’s life, about the timeframe of Assassin’s reed II and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood combined.

Settings will include Boston, New York and a large countryside. The countryside will be the setting of about 1/3 of the game, and will be the location of many events during the game. The countryside will be about 1.5 times as big as Rome in Brotherhood

The protagonist will fight on the American side, with primary allies George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Charles Lee. However, this does not mean that the Americans are the good guys and the British are the bad guys. Templars are everywhere

There will be seasons in the game, meaning that the sun will shine during summer and the landscape will be covered in snow during winter.

Fighting and stealth will be completely re-innovated, with Connor being compared to a “predator”. The player will be able to climb trees and other natural elements, and dual-wielding weapons such as a dagger and a mohawk is now also an option.

Animals will be present in the woods, like deer and bears. The player will be able to kill them and pelt their skins, to sell them later with the reformed economic system of the game.

There will be puzzles similar to The Truth, only they will not be given by Subject 16.

Desmond will go into the new Animus 3.0 and will find himself going into “significant events”.

100% sync in memories returns, though this time you will be rewarded when you complete memories to 100%. Checkpoints will also be introduced to mission replay, meaning you don’t have to replay an entire mission to get that 100% sync.

The Brotherhood, or Assassins Guild, will return in some form, albeit differently than we have seen before.

There will be no more Mercenaries, Thieves, Courtesans, Romani or other factions, but there will be a replacement for them.

Den Defense will not return."

moist

Some of that sounds pretty cool, though not sure I like the idea of historical characters being in the game and given voices. IDK, just seems odd

Did you have a problem with it happening in the other three games?

Ah damn, I’m getting a boner just reading this thread

Best thread that I ever read.

You must be dead in the head.

Good to see this technology from the PS2 era returning. Seriously, it was a nice touch back then, it’ll be a nice touch now.

Good.[/SIZE]

The rest of the stuff you quoted has potential, Xal.

I am purposefully avoiding what Xal has posted. As much as I’d like to dissect all the possible knowledge known about this game, I would like to find this out through actual gameplay experience.

Every time someone says that, they get burned by stupid shit they should have learned about.

The people who were pissed that Halo Wars was an RTS

The people who thought The Darkness II would be gritty and branching like the first one

The people who were pissed about the camera in Cloverfield.

Don’t fuck yourself.

Wait, did people buy Halo Wars not knowing it was a RTS? That’s just plain stupid.

Even though I understand why most people didn’t like den defense, I did. But I like Tower defense games in general.
I was skyping with my friend when he played it and He got so mad that his den was destroyed every single time. For me, my den never went beneath half HP.

This looks glorious. I’m glad they opted for America. The fact that everyone spoke English + Italian in II (and Brotherhood and Revelations) kinda broke the immersion for me. If the Animus was supposed to translate everything language to English, why would there still be some Italian left in there? I wouldn’t have a problem with it being there if there was any other pretext to it, but it seemed like they overlooked that whole concept.

Thinking back though, I never thought of this at the time I was playing really, just something that I thought about recently.

This sounds fun. I’ve recently tried to start playing the first one (damn, the controls are giving me a headache!), and it’s not too bad. I’m not too excited about having to run around in the sand for two more games though, but seeing those screenshots looks like it may be an interesting change of pace

If they go on like this, I wonder if you’d ever go to like, Russia, and kill them ushanka wearers :fffuuu:

Run around in the sand? You go to Renaissance Italy in ACII and Brotherhood. (And Constantinople in Revelations)

Cool, I’ll be looking forward to play those then

I was really hoping it would have been set in china. In AC embers, Etzio meets Lin who is a Chinese assassin so I was expecting china. Then again you find out in AcB coordinance that is in new York.

Thank God, I thought I was the only one who noticed this, I don’t know why it isn’t in Skyrim, that would be very awesome.

No shit.

I WAS ONLY RHYMING WITH YOU >:0
