More like:
good popcorn story bro
you made me laugh, thanks
Lol Dan, the fanfic bit at the actually made me laugh audibly.
funny, that most of the questions here are “Why Muslims do this and that” and not asking about the basics of Islam, or what Is Islam.
what is Islam?
are you being sarcastic or really asking ?
anyways
Islam is the last Abarhamic Religion which was preceded by Christianity and Judaism and is also the final word of God.
I personally think I know, although you do have a chance to prove me wrong. Basically I’m making conversation in this thread that you can actually respond to.
How do you know that?
cause it’s written in the Qur’an ?
Manwë is the King of the Valar, husband of Varda Elentári, brother of the Dark Lord Melkor, and King of Arda. He lives atop Mount Taniquetil, the highest mountain of the world, in the halls of Ilmarin. The winds and airs are his servants, and he is lord of air, wind, and clouds in Arda. He is the noblest and greatest in authority, but not in power, of the Aratar and Ainur.
'Cause it is written in the Silmarillion?
I mean, how do you know it’s the last word of God?
Mohammed said that.
Maybe I wasn’t clear enough.
How do you know that the Qur’an is the word of God at all?
Well they wouldn’t be very good believers if they didn’t believe that their book is the word of God would they.
I tried to read it twice, but never finished it because it’s way too complicated.
I finished it, multiple times. It’s a really good read imo. You should read Children of Hùrin, if you haven’t already.
yup we should also all read LOTR as well :meh:
Those remarks always remind me of a show by a Dutch comedian/cabaretier (Hans Teeuwen). It pretty much boils down to this:
“How do you know for sure?”
- “Well, because it’s written in the bible.”
“But how do you know for sure that what’s written is true?”
- “Well, that’s written as well.”
"So whenever I have a discussion with this people, I carry a little book with me, in that book I wrote down “God does not exist.”… So whenever they ask me “How do you know for sure?”, I reply “Well… Because it’s written.”
There’s an islamic question and answer website. That question seems thoroughly answered, I think, but unfortunately there are things left out of it.

This second link, from youtube, directs you to a lecture about the subject itself (Is Qur’an Word of God) by renowned islamic speaker Zakir Naik.

If you’re interested, I hope you’d take the time to watch the video, which really does touch the subject clearly.
Aside from both of that, there are evidences from the scriptures or bible, forgot which and where, which suggest Muhammad. If anyone is interested, I’ll try and find the video.
that is a smart statement but I suggest you watch and read what Torpede had posted
