Ask a Muslim!

You clearly have no idea what does “holy” mean. It’s something separated from common people and earthly things, it is something that need to be treated with respect. For Jews even the name of God is so sacred that they don’t dare to say it. When some people defile something holy it obviously must result in anger, I can imagine that it’s one of the biggest insult for Muslims.

I’m of course not defending those who send threatening letters, if they can’t respect our laws they should come back to where they came from.

Thing is though, I say Jehova on YouTube, I won’t get too many deaththreats. If I draw Muhammed and post the picture on YouTube, I’ll most definitely get deaththreats. That’s what bothers me, and a whole lot of people.

but why you want to draw him in the first place ? what will that benefit you ? will it make you feel better by causing grief and anger to others ?

be honest

Proving, that nobody in the western world but cowards will be threatent by muslim extremists, and make them know they cannot enforce the sharia law without repercusions from us. Believe me, there are ‘moderate muslims’ out there, that will shoot you eight times, try to decapitate you, and then stab you with another one, because he criticised their belief. And I want to make it clear to those people, that we are not threatent in any way by the death threats the extremists give us.

Okay, more simply:

Bob: “No Scotsman puts sugar on his oatmeal.”
Steve: “But my uncle Angus is a Scotsman and he always puts sugar on his oatmeal.”
Bob: “Well, no true Scotsman puts sugar on his oatmeal.”

Is Angus no longer a Scotsman because he puts sugar on his oatmeal?

What are 72 good reasons to be a Muslim?

Why draw a picture of Dog from Half Life 2? Why draw Bill Gates? Why draw the Pyramids of Giza? Why draw a still life of a potted plant? What will that benefit you?

Maybe they’re not doing it to cause grief and anger. Maybe they should man up and stop being offended by what others choose to do?

I’m offended by a lot of things others do. It causes me grief and angers me. Why do they do things that grieves and angers me? Does it make them feel better?

Be honest.

Waaaaah I’m so offended someone drew Jesus in the Last Supper
I’m going to threaten to kill one of the world’s greatest genii waaaaah I’m such a tool

you’re sooooooooooooooooooo in Denial but here’s the answer which you failed to notice a while ago

So, if I considered something “holy”, would that automatically mean that no one else should desecrate it? I mean, if it’s something that’s going to possibly offend someone else then no one should do it?

Let me tell you something:

EVERYTHING is going to offend SOMEONE. Even things that people enjoy will offend someone. Your usage of the word “gay” in your signature is going to offend someone. Your usage of Cobain’s intimation that fish don’t have feelings is going to offend someone. In fact, the mere fact that you’re a Muslim is offensive to some people.

Why would you do that? What will that benefit you? Will it make you feel better by causing grief and anger to others?

Be honest.

wow you’re using my own words against me, will how about you then ? you’re no better than me mate :stuck_out_tongue:

All I’m saying is that YOU are intentionally doing things that cause anger and grief. How are you any better than those that draw Mohammed?

no body’s better than other that’s what I believe in, and I haven’t received any angry messages or death threats yet :stuck_out_tongue:

Muslims do get death threats simply for being Muslim, however.

Again, you seem to be ignoring the main point. You claim that people that draw Mohammed do it to intentionally piss Muslims off. However, simply BEING a Muslim pisses other off. If you claim that one is wrong, then you must claim that the other is wrong, too.

I don’t think that drawing Mohammed is wrong. I don’t think being a Muslim is wrong. If a Muslim thinks that a drawing of Mohammed is blasphemous and wrong, then don’t do it. What right does any Muslim have, however, to tell NON-MUSLIMS what they should be able to do?

I am offended by your use of the word “off” :expressionless:

I’m offended that you’re offended!

I’m offended that you’re offended that I’m offended

I’m offended that you’re off–ah, fuck it.

Imagine if we had kept going with this :3

But like I said: You say Jehova on youtube, you’ll get maybe one or two deaththreats. You draw Muhammed on youtube, and you’ll most certainly couldn’t count the deaththreats on your hand.

I have nothing against islam, but how many other religions have this problem on such a big scale? Or how many other religions try to enforce a law that is extremely unethical (the sharia law) in the western world.

And have you any idea what the protesters said while protesting? They’re talking along the lines of “Nuke, nuke USA” and “Nuke, nuke Denmark.” And they are threatening Europe “Europe, take some lessons for 9/11”. I have yet to see any other religion that has caused so many grief and anger in the modern times. They are provoking a sleeping giant. 9/11 wasn’t a sleeping giant like the extremists seem to believe. It was the mere child of the sleeping giant playing with legos.

Not to mention they were protesting against the picture of Muhammed in a bear costume.

Sorry if you feel offended by this post, but this is the result of trying to cencor stuff, merely because you cannot deal with freedom of speech. Not to say you don’t like freedom of speech, but if you cencor stuff because it’s unholy, I don’t think you really like it.
