You misunderstood. That was about Muslims giving up their religion, not about people who weren’t Muslim in the first place. While I agree even that is quite harsh, it’s a huge difference.
As I understand it, Muslims are in fact required to be tolerant of other religions, or the lack thereof.
Tolerance of non-Muslims is more of political thing in Islam, dhimmi, and it applies mostly to “People of the Book”, aka. Jews and Christians, who were given rights in countries under Islamic rule. I don’t know about atheism though.
Well, there is the concept of jihad, which is interpreted by many Muslims (I am not saying majority) as the struggle to persuade others of the Islamic faith, by all means possible. I am thankful that the Catholic Church has given up on efforts such as these. I want to be left alone and free to think of the world as I please.
What?? No way. Its one of the biggest sins to force someone to convert to Islam against their will. What you’re referring to is one’s inner jihad to be a good, practicing muslim and to spread its teachings. If someone doesn’t want accept it, then that’s their decision but they must not be forced.
At least Muslims have the nerve to blow themselves up and actually get involved physically whereas Christians do it from the comfort of their bunker and push buttons to blow up a wedding ceremony.
Oh, wait. :brow:
[COLOR=‘Black’](Note to the uninformed: I was making a sarcastic joke; I don’t believe either is a part of their religion and, instead, is blatantly political)
Why should I? Islamic countries are among the most hostile places on Earth. If you think they’re just as peaceful as lets say, Sweden or Germany - you’re either arrogant to the bone or just plain stupid.
I know there are good muslims, I have nothing against them. From your reaction I will assume that you believe your religion is peaceful - well let me tell you something: IT’S NOT
It’s funny how you consider Islam to be the religion of peace, while it clearly has a violent impact on many humans (being Muslim I mean). If Islam is truly such a peaceful religion, then why are there so many muslim extremists all over the world?
