That’s because those pictures of you are Photoshopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few 'shops in my time.
[COLOR=‘Black’]Just kidding.
The thing is it doesn’t really apply to anyone. BMI is just another bullshit number that ‘scientists’ like to tack on to fitness and health. Fact is, your fitness and health is judged by your physical performance and your visible physique. You have to understand that two people with the exact same build could be 20+ pounds apart because of their internal bodily structures. Look at me, people tell me I look like I’m at least 225+ pounds, but as of right now I’m at 198. Bone structure is a huge factor in your bodyweight. Bottom line is that BMI is pretty much useless for anyone.
how the fuck do you look like 220+ lbs while you are 5’11"?
And yes, BMI is just bullshit.
My doctor told me once I was on the border of being overweight according to BMI…but then he said I shouldn’t listen to that because I am (or at least was) pretty muscular, so it didn’t really apply.
As Kaze and ODB have already said, there are more factors to fitness than a number on a page.
Don’t forget about fatigue.
Your physical performance / ability to expose muscularity = your fitness - your fatigue. This is why you need deloads.
Well, I’ve gained 5 pounds. I’m thinking of doing free running, should I? I was wondering if it would be a good idea or not, because to start with I can’t jump (literally) at all.
But I’ve also figured maybe one of the reasons why I gained 5 pounds. I eat cake everyday because I live right next to this pantry, and I think if I cut down on that, I’ll lose alot of weight.
hahaha win
kaze,
Not sure if you have been asked this or not, but…
The “new” Atkins diet… What’s your take on it. I have more than a few pounds to loose - So am willing ot give it a try in the short term to get a jump on it…
Anyways… What are your thoughts?
So… I managed to lose 3 pounds, which is quite good, but I also sprained my goddamn finger pretty badly while attempting at parkour/freerunning. I was trying to vault, and I guess I put too much weight on my vaulting hand, and hurt my finger. Freakin’ hurts.
Well, on Atkins, in three days, I lost 4.2 pounds - Not too bad.
I feel sorry for people who feel the need to lose weight. Bless my fast metabolism.
Oh my friend, more than you know - It is not a matter of “feel” in my case, I am overweight by a fair margin.
Fat also produces more estrogen, and in some cases, is linked to deminished testosterone production (Which increases other health risks)
i can not say that Atkins is my favorite, but I am willing to take this hit in the short haul, for the long haul gain.
meanwhile, good on you - I am envious.
Do you ever put being a body builder on resumes/ has it ever helped you get a job?
I guess it’s helped him get into bodybuilding contests.
LOL
Its not silly question, I would think body building would be a good thing if your in a more physically demanding field, but I am curious if they do put it down… maybe as a hobby?
All bodybuilders pump concrete. Period.
If you don’t run a concrete pumping business, you are not a true BB.
this
I’m using the Shakeweight. Shit works.
