It is hard work to prove this statement.
But I tend to the opposite, and I think I could prove this: Democracies with a middle class and a population of 40 million and more tend to have worse income distributions than democracies with fewer inhabitants and a middle class (except Japan).
So higher population means more financial and social struggle; that leads in turn to a more desperate lower and middle class, which in turn makes them more susceptible to propaganda, war, loands and exploitation.

what if the pregnancy is going to kill the mother and not the child, but the pregnancy is only at the zygote stage (i.e. a collection of cells, not a human life in any way, shape or form), and the mother wishes to live?
