A Call for Communication (Half-Life) (HL-CFC)

… What if I DON’T want to know about it after all, and that this whole thing was just a ruse?

I lol at the people calling Maxey a self righteous whatever then go on a rant about how he’s up on his high horse.

The fact is people if Valve have nothing to announce they can’t tell you anything of interest. Infact that’l simply fuel the ever growing bunch of asshats who are denouncing Valve at every opportunity as lazy fucks who can’t be arsed with the series or their community anymore.

Valve simpy can’t win with everyone, so they instead bide their time, it’s of no loss to them because they know all these impatient losers will still buy the game anyway. I guess this is something some game companies learn and others do not, wether or not to pander to the self entitled idiots.

Valve owe you nothing. You’ve put money into their company to get a product. That past transaction isn’t a universally applicable contract for Valve to keep you in the loop on every update to every game they make in the future.

That is why these people are self entitled pricks.

Exactly. People have come to expect so much from Valve, that they think Valve has an obligation to keep people informed of every fart Gabe makes.

Valve is a private company, they answer to no one but themselves. If they so wanted, they could simply shut down their forums, Facebook, twitter and e-mail accounts and get away with it because that’s no one’s business but their own.

Valve may have set several good precedents in the past but that still doesn’t make them everyone’s lovely grandpa. They are entitled to their own company secrets and communication blackout and Steam Groups like the one in this thread only show how spoiled gamers have become in the past 10 years.

I’m not a self-entitled prick; I just want everything now and just for me. Is that too much to ask?

When is it coming out? I bet it’s June.

This is the kind of self-important and self-entitled attitude I’m talking about. Valve doesn’t have to to shit, you spoiled, deluded brat.

Deserved or not, I hope this works, joined.

Did this shit ever work?

Now, now, I think “Self-entitled pricks” is a bit of an improper thing to say.

“Entitled pricks” is so much more concise, and it conveys exactly the same meaning.

Oh come the fuck on. They’re ASKING FOR COMMUNICATION. They never once said Valve has to pay attention to them, they just told Valve, who is pretty concerned with the contentedness of their consumers, what they want. You’re a high horse asshole as well. It’s the same as if a bunch of people put notes in the suggestion box of a restaurant saying “I really liked your special from last Friday, It’d be awesome if you made it again sometime soon”. How the hell does that make these people entitled pricks? It’s constructive motherfucking feedback.

^This. They’re making a call for communication and wanting people to join because they figure, eventually when they have ‘enough’ members, Valve will spill every little secret about Episode 3. So, yes, in asking for communication, they’re asking to be paid attention.

Garth, please, just give up on this forum. No one here likes you. You argue over stuff that is way over your level of intelligence and reasoning. Every time you post, you dig yourself a few more inches deeper.

So, please, leave this forum and go find another forum somewhere else where your opinions might be more appreciated, heavens forbid such a place exists.

Hey we get that you’re don’t approve this group. You can create an alternative group to protest it if you want. But why don’t you just shut the fuck up and ignore this thread huh?

Lol Maxey you are my new hero

badass

First of all, I wasn’t talking to you. Second of all, that wasn’t about the group, it was about Garth.

Third of all, take some more English classes.

It could always be worse, he could one of those cunts who don’t know how to use Google Translate.

lolk.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
