We at black mesa are much more used to waiting then the rest of Valve games fans, because we have yet to play any of the awesomeness of Black Mesa. We know, however that both the Black Mesa developers and the Valve HL team are doing their best to bring us the Half Life experience that we have come to expect, but only in due time. If we attempt to rush things, we will only be reminded of our insignificance in the matter of getting this shit done and released.

Valve does not say anything. We dont want a release date, just some news.

I doubt you’ll read this but damn do you sound like a prick right now. They’re politely asking for communication. They aren’t pressuring, they aren’t boycotting, and they aren’t bitching. They’d be self-entitled pricks if they said “BITCH RELEASE TEH HALF-LIFEZ RIGHT NOW CAUSE I WANNA PLAY” but they’re not. They’re just communicating their reasonable wants to the company they throw money at and there is nothing selfish or obnoxious about that.
This why I stopped liking you. You have this bigass high horse shit where you pretend to take some mythical high road every time a subject comes up. When is the last time you haven’t entered an argument by taking some horrifically cliched high road approach?
Didn’t Gabe say, just last year, that there was nothing they had to show? I don’t remember his exact words, but it was something like that. I kind of doubt they even have the script down pat.
You’re all putty in Gabe Newell’s hands. This is exactly as he has forseen.
16 years ago Gabe Newell came up with the greatest troll concept of all time. He’d make a company and release a successful game, get people so hooked that when he failed to deliver a sequel they would all kill themselves. It’s little known that Gabe Newell actually threw together Half Life in just 3 weeks. Whilst a few of his buddies were over for beers he had them fill in the voice overs. 2 weeks later he’d finished it all up and was distributing it.
But this was only the beginning of his devious plan. Next he had to make a sequal, one which surpassed the original in all ways.
This time it took him a little longer but he was done in two months.
Half Life 2 was an even bigger success. All according to plan.
Over the next few weekends he threw together Episode 1 and 2 and then stopped.
His series had gained the audience he required to pull of his ultimate troll. There is NO Half Life 3.
He’s planned this so perfectly that even by refusing to announce even the existence of HL3 he still has millions of people eagerly awaiting the game. I mean, people are actually awaiting a game which he has never confirmed existing. People make up confirmations and see images in the clouds which somehow indicate that the game exists…but there is no solid evidence! NONE!
Only speculation.
He feeds off the misery of others. Notice how he’s increased in mass over the last few years? This is no coincidence. The more people demand HL3 the more powerful he gets.
So what will he become? Some speculate that he will eventually turn into a creature similar to the nihilanth. Others suspect he may become an Advisor.

I joined it because they invited me. I probably wouldn’t have even heard of it otherwise. As much as I’d like to know SOMETHING about the game I really couldn’t care one way or the other. Valve will release it eventually.
Only joined because I’d imagine that they’d make fuckloads of anouncments if anything about Half-Life is breathed.
EVERY gaming website will make fuckloads of announcements, just look at all the hype over a T-shirt, or Gabe’s email responses. When a release date comes up, IF a release date comes up, you WILL know about it. Regardless of if you joined the group, or are even a gamer at all.
