Actually it has less to do with the games being boring and much more to do with the fact that Gears of War 2’s multiplayer is broken beyond repair.
How is getting killed within the first two minutes, waiting 10 minutes for your team to completely fail, and then repeating the process over and over again fun?
Gun Game and deathmatch games with respawning are fun though.
How is watching 40 minute cutscenes fun? Different people have different ideas of fun.
If the story is good and if I can actually play eventually.
At least it’s not scrolling text boxes like in older Final Fantasy games.
Halo is epic. The first Halo wasn’t good, but Halo 2 was amazing. Personally I think that the story is better than Half Life.

I’m not trolling. It’s a great puzzle, but I read a review that said it was “the best game of the decade”. I laughed at the Still Alive song. Portal was also short as fuck.

2.Modern warfare. (compared to BFBC, it does look like sh**)
3.Half life (be a good sport and wait for black mesa, it was also almost dead until Counterstrike came along)
4.Bioshock (It’s just me, I did not like a bit of it.)
5.Arma (want a realistic wartime enviroment? Join the army)

The game-play was repetitive, that monotonous voice made me want to run my head through my T.V.
You got to keep it real, the game wasn’t “Great”, or “Amazing”. It was okay. The game itself wasn’t amazing, but the idea was good; not the game. I don’t understand why people go crazy over the game. It’s not horrible, but it’s not great. People need to stop saying it is.

The portal gameplay concept was unique and well executed in the sea of generic FPS bleh known as the modern gaming industry, the game is very well written and oozes quotability, GlaDos is one of the most memorable characters in gaming history despite barely being in the game, and the song at the end is JUST-FUCKING-AWESOME!
So, yes. It is a very “stupendous” game.
