Your Top FIve Over-rated games

Either way, 64 is a lot more fun.

Excuse the emphasis on my first post, honestly, I was just kind of excited that I upped and became part of the community. Yeah, I like Mario 64 too…:retard:

Super Mario 64 was the first 3D game I played, back when I was… 4 maybe? 5? Im suprised no one else has mentioned Guitar Hero for being overrated yet, including the other hero game. DJ Hero. They SUCK.

They’re not games imo, no reason to post 'em.

The xbox 360 is overrated, the PS3 could easily surpass it in awesomeness if only it had games.

But the ps3… has no games.

Lucky me I first played Halo 1 on the PC, and it was honestly the best port I have ever played. It is also the only game that I have that’s port runs better than the original.

I wonder, what everyone’s opinions on Tetris and Pong are?

It was a decent port, but the system requirements are deceiving. You had to have a system that far surpassed what was on the box to actually run it.

True, and some how it runs better on a gforce 6600gt than a 9500m gs. At times there are 60 fps difference between the two cards, 60!

It’s overrated, no-where near original and the story is utter rubbish, but it’s not shit. The fact that it’s so damn fun with friends in co-op is quite the saving grace.

The fact that you’re so angry about it makes you just as bad as the raving fan boys like Johnkiller.

Tetris is amazing, I still play it on my old Gameboy pack I still have. Pong’s cool too but nowhere near as good as Tetris it.

  • At least the PS3 is finally getting games :retard:

  • Tetris is amazing. I just played it a couple hours ago actually. TBH, I’m actually very weary about playing it sometimes >_>… Its addicting… And I suffer from the Tetris Effect :fffuuu: <- Which drives me bonkers :expressionless:

I think you’re confusing ‘overrated’ with ‘bad by personal opinion’. An ‘overrated’ game is one which, despite being marketed as good, is, in fact, substantially less than what it was built up to be. A game which, prior to its release, is advertised as one which will cure cancer and make kittens pour from its bountiful awesomeness but which, upon playing, causes one to gauge one’s eyes out in pain is an overrated game.

Guitar Hero, on the other hand, is nothing more or less than what it is advertised as; its a music rhythm game where you play along to well known songs using a variety of instruments. Some people find it good, others do not, but I wouldn’t classify it at all as ‘overrated’ at all. True, some people believe that its the greatest gift to humanity since your mother, but they do so from their own opinion.

For a game to be ‘overrated’ means that, in the lead up to release, the populace has been misled to its actual quality for the purposes of boosting sales. If someone thinks a game is legitimately good, then that’s not making a game sound overrated, the person in question is just voicing his opinion. You may disagree as much as you want, but that doesn’t qualify as classifying the game was ‘overrated’.

The ps3 has no games you say?

If I only play GOD OF WAR 3 this year, I’ve already played more games that I could have possibly ever desired to play if I had gotten a 360. David Jaffe is back fellaws! And Kratos is pissed!!!

yep, swear that’s been posted 100 times on this forum alone

PS3 has as many GOOD games as the 360 does.

look: Uncharted 2

Arguably more. I wouldn’t trade Uncharted 1/2, Metal Gear Solid 4, FFXIII and the numerous other ones that escape my mind (including something like, I don’t know, Little Big Planet) for anything on the 360. There’s really not that many ‘must haves’ that aren’t, well, Halo and Gears.

The problem is that the 360 used to have more games. People are just used to assuming it’s better. It is certainly not, I think the PS3 games have some serious quality.

FFXIII is on the 360 too.

maybe he meant it is better ps
