Your top five favorite mods

I second that. IIRC there was.

Hmm, did some quick Googling and it looks like there was a mod that integrated the demo levels in to the full story:

May I ask which version did you play? And in which servers? Because you are dead wrong my friend. GoldenEye: Source is much more than that.

Also, another question: have you played the original N64 game?

Ok, back on topic:

The list goes like this (both SP and MP mods are included):

  1. Minerva - Metastasis
  2. GoldenEye: Source
  3. Riot Act.
  4. Someplace Else.
  5. Garry’s Mod

OPPOSING FORCE 2 IS BEING MADE?! F%$& YES!!!

My fav mod is…Gmod.

I think I was playing the most recent version. Also, no, I haven’t played the original N64 game until AFTER I uninstalled Goldeneye: Source. (By the way, Goldeneye 64 is awesome! Now I just need some friends to come over so we can play multiplayer.)

Does you people know any more good hl1 sp mods which are not on my list yet?

Welcome to Five Years Ago. Population : you.

neotokyo is so close to release it hurts… can not wait for that game…

I am glad that you like the original game. I have it too. If you enjoyed the mod, GoldenEye: Source, I can tell you the best places to play at. There are some good servers now, with barely no LTK (the one-shot kill thing you mentioned) and where you always start with a different weapon (although starting unarmed or with a knife is the most common thing; it’s the default option, actually).

Alright, I’ll try it again.

Second.

NT looks good but the weapons sounds have no ‘umph’ to them, they sound very muffled and weak.

Haven’t tried it out, and I have no idea what to think about it. It’s endorsed by the Minerva guy, so that’s always good news, but it seems very strange. When I install EP2 I’ll try it out.

Does that honestly matter at all? If you don’t like it, replace the sound files. You shouldn’t judge a game based on the fact that you thing the weapons sound wimpy. That’s just retarded.

I was commenting about the gun sounds, I said it still looked good.

Yeah, but when people bicker about the sounds of weapons, it just pushes my buttons. I just don’t get the appeal of really loud weapons. The only reason I hear is because people think it makes the weapons sound more powerful. But if your enemies are using the same weapon then it just defeats the whole point.

I also wear headphones when I play games, so hearing a room full of people firing overly loud weapons just gives me a headache.

That’s equally retarted…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
