Your longest download??

Why would you even consider downloading that?

I hate my 5mb internet :frowning:

What was wrong with Cinematic Mod? I thought the HD models were pretty good and the scenery was kinda cool. I didn’t like the darkening of some levels but I thought it was okay. It did take a long time to download though.

Longest download? I just started it… Since having a home theater PC with XBMC installed is awesome, I wanted more movies than the 140 I already have downloaded or grabbed somehow… So I’m downloading a “Best movies megapack” torrent… 276.49 GB.
Right now it’s just at 40 kB/s, but it sometimes peaks at 300-400 kB/s. Either way it should take several weeks to finish this :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: That’s somewhere between 350 and 370 movies, by the way… can’t tell exactly, since I unchecked some I already had, and some come in 2 files.

Five years ago, when i wasn’t as anti-piracy as i am now, i downloaded Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire.

Two weeks of constant download.

Back then i had “Quality” internet that worked at 30kb/s at it’s peak, but usually it was 3 to 0.1kb/s, if any (it went down every single week). Hell, it had no download limit, but at this speed they could give me 3gb and i still wouldn’t be able feel the difference.

I usually download using multiple wireless cards and VirtualBox plus my wired connection on the host OS

3mega bytes per second

OMG 2 MINUTES!

[align=center]hmmm, maybe porn

Cool first post, bro.

How did you get a picture of my abnormally large penis? :hmph:

so your mutated siamese twin brother is attached to your penis?

:what:

and (name hidden) has now been banned under a ghost account. Now folks… should be ban the originating user too? huh? huh?

Please, go ahead.

Just tell us who it is then we’ll decide.

My longest download would be Cinematic Mod 10. After it was done, however, I realized I didn’t care to use it so I deleted it.

My longest download was HL2 once.

I was so happy, that i bought this game at first early at 7 am and got home at my free day. As HL fan, i thougth, i would have a wonderfull day. But then … Steam woke up and killed my vision about a good world!!

It took me 3 Weeks after installing, till some crappy and small 5 - 50 MB updates were finished. After downloading, it still didnt start for two days and an error message came up “Game is not ready or steam network is busy”. After this, another crappy update ruined my month which took 6 days to complete. after this … i finnaly played hl2 … after one stupid month -_-

But still after years … i see the download bar in nightmares. It nerver finishs :retard:

Could’ve just ripped out your hard disk and brought it to a friend’s house, I remember doing it at least 200 times to copy downloaded music, movies and games.

I once torrented Final Cut Studio. 60 GB, took me a few months due to lack of seeding, and by the time it was finished, FCS2 was out. I didn’t bother torrenting FCS2, and deleted the first one.

Nowadays 90% of my torrents finish within a few days, and 80% of that within a few hours. I just torrented the HL2 leak (the anon version), took about 20 minutes.

my longest DL was Opposing force, 2 minutes
