Xen In ep3?

They did try to work some more platforming into the game before going to xen. In fact, I’m pretty sure everything after Apprehension seemed to have a bit more platforming in it than the previous chapters. (not to mention lambda core. :fffuuu  But this was poor execution.

Holy crap, that reads like something out of Cave Johnson’s ramblings…

On topic: I wouldn’t mind revisiting Xen “sourcified” in an official HL game. But I’m not going to hold my breath on that one. Besides, I’m sure I’ll get my fill with BM

I’d much rather go to the combine’s world. Something new.

If only someone remade that old shitty Half-Life with our beloved Xen bunny hopping in some better engine. Like Cry engine, or, if everything else fails, someone could remake it in Source engine. What do you think, guys, would it be fun?

Sounds ridiculous

@ Omega_Absolute: Yeah, the combine overworld would make more sense at this point. I can’t see much reason for going back to Xen, storyline-wise, unless of course Gordon manages to get himself flung there by accident. :fffuuu: (Borealis incident? Philadelphia experiment? :what: Who knows.)

@ MysticJ: That would be preposterous.

There’re no needs to get back to that place

I hope so, but I am sure it will never happen though. :frowning:

NUKE THE COMBINE HOME WORLD!!! maybe that or you nuke the last citadel using an old Russian nuke. also HL3 will be continuing Sheppard’s story

Xen is not the combine homeworld. Do you know anything about Half-Life 2?

We never once said that Xen was the combine homeworld.

Then why did he post “Nuke the combine homeworld!” in a thread called “Xen in ep3?”?

because he wants to mess with your head

Because somebody else mentioned that the homeworld would be more appropriate at this point, so he was just joking around. :stuck_out_tongue:

I read that as “paedophilia experiment” :fffuuu:

On topic:
Half-Life games struggle to do platforming because the games are designed as FPS’s. The lack of limbs also doesn’t help. Mirrors edge does sick platforming partly due (in part) to the physical presence of Faith’s limbs.

I don’t know why everyone hated Xen so much. I had no problem with the platforming, and I thought it was a neat way to wrap up the game.

Xen is nothing except the floating island… and what do you think that it may be happen in xen dimension? really nothing… nihilant has already died and will not come back again…

and read my sign if you notice something in my words
