I don’t really know all that much about games, all things considered. But yeah, the MS effect seems to be heavily present
Fucking really?
I mean, it seems like more and more games are being launched incomplete and broken, requiring patch after patch. If I wanted shit like that, I’d play the PC version. At least I’d have the potential for better graphics with it.
It’s a shame, too- the new Drivatar system being the game’s AI sounds like a very cool idea. Honestly though, they should have just added a feature that lets you download the Drivatars of your friends to use as battle opponents. It would do wonders for letting people practice for multiplayer, since you could use the Drivatar as a somewhat accurate barometer of how your friends drive and what strategies they use.
whelp, 2018 purchase for me.
Halo 6 edition xbox here I come.
Do people still read articles spawned by Gaming Journalism? I thought people had figured out they’re filled with shit 99% of the time already.
Ever since I made this thread, MS has fixed almost all of the problems with the Xbox One and at this point I feel like further hate towards it is mostly unwarranted.
That said, I’d still buy a PS4 over the XB1 for quite a few reasons, but the XB1 is much less undesirable for me right now than it was at the time of its reveal.
I could close this thread unless you desire for it to remain open as a forum for general talk about XBox One or something…?
Maybe just change the title to Xbox One Discussion Thread or something.
Done. Let’s talk all things XBox One here!
(Forum rules still apply.)
Thanks.
Xbox One isn’t the anti-consumer piece of shit it started as but its still $100 more than the PS4 and so similar to it, that I think its the inferior product at this point.

Xbone has a little over half the preordered consoles as the PS4.
I figured that, I mean there’s a lot of languages. In fact, I’m sure that extra hundred bucks is all pretty much the extra shit. It’s not cheap, it’s admittedly technically impressive stuff (the kinect 2.0 and everything that comes with, the pseudo win8 OS itself) albeit not very useful.
I feel like Sony put Microsoft in the same spot Microsoft did to them last gen. They were ready to come to market before them, except Microsoft knows from Sony how hard being a year later to market hurts and is trying to rush out a product before its finished and before they’ve done any focus testing on what people want or like about consoles.
That’s the thing. My faith in Microsoft hasn’t been lost quite yet, because they’re fucking this up just like Sony fucked the PS3 up. They might also pick it up like Sony picked the PS3 up as well.
Honestly the Xbox 360 was (was? still is) kinda shitty. I suspect the failures the 360 has been carrying is due to the rush of completing it before the PS3 released. I hope the same thing will not happen to the PS4 and that it will actually work well.
Well yeah, it is shitty. The thing is, it’s also really “easy” which is why it succeeded. It’s not about raw power or dependability, it’s about how much work you need to do to make something run on it. The fact of the matter is, as shitty as the 360 is, anyone can make their game run on it. The same cannot be said for the PS3. That’s pretty much the whole reason why the 360 had the lead for as long as it did. Ironically, it could have gone with a year of TLC to work out the kinks and still have done just as well.
