It’s probably because they’ve never played a Metal Gear game before. I loaned my copy of Twin Snakes to a friend, because he doesn’t have a PS1/2/3. Otherwise I would of given him the original game, because Twin Snakes sucks compared to the original!

I completely agree. I played MGS1 first, then borrowed the Twin Snakes from a friend, and absolutely hated a lot of what they did. The cutscenes were over the top, and First Person aiming made a lot of the game too easy.

I like splinter cell too. Both are great games, but to be honest, if I want stealth gameplay, I play splinter cell. If I want jaw-dropping, testicle-decending, brain-imploding action and story telling, I play pretty much any Metal Gear Solid game.

No, Alan Wake will not come out for the PC, it will come out as a 360-exclusive. FF XIII isn’t PS3 exclusive. it came out for the 360 the same day it came out for the PS3.
I prefer XBOX 360 because of Gears of War, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Fable, Mass Effect, Halo, FM3 and Lost Planet 2 will have the GoW-heros as bonus characters.
I would prefer to play FF XIII on the PS3 but I sold my PS3. Maybe I will buy it again when GT 5 comes out. But atm I don’t miss my PS3. If I’ll get a new one I will buy MGS 4, Little Big Planet, RR 7, Resistance 2, Killzone 2 and Wipeout HD again and I would buy God of War 3 and another game I forgot
when it’s out.
I like Splinter Cell too, but the story blows hard. It’s standard military “My Country 'Tis of Thee” bullshit. If I want something more thought provoking, then I’ll play Metal Gear.

Gears of War 2 is a 360 exclusive, though since Epic Games fucked up the multiplayer with lag, no one cares.
