Xbox 360 games vs. PS3 games

I figured when it comes down to it, the ultimate gaming system doesnt mean shit if you dont have good games to play on it.

So which system has better video games on it? PS3 or Xbox 360?

IMHO PS3 has better exclusives, with Little Big Planet, MGS4 Final Fantasy XIII, Killzone 2, Uncharted and Uncharted 2 to name a few.

Although unfortunately it misses out on the fantastic Mass Effect games!

PS3 has no games.

Killzone 2, MAG, MGS4, GT5, Resistance 1, Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Heavy Rain, God of War III (coming very soon), inFamous, Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2, and many more great exclusives.

I appreciate you guys replying but guys still havent given me a direct answer. Is it PS3 that has better games or the Xbox 360?

Most people say the 360 has the better library of games.

Most people are wrong.

:retard:

I cannot think of any 360 exclusives that I care about.

Don’t we already have a thread about this?

They both have good games. Look up a list of the best games on each platform (like IGN’s Top 25) and see if any of them catches your eye.

Oh, another great PS3 exclusive: Heavy Rain :awesome: .

I know this has been mentioned before, but it’s so awesome that it deserves to be repeated:

…play all of the other ones first, though. You’ll be completely lost without doing so.

Just to add:

The PS3 is more powerful on paper than the 360, but the 360 SDK is much easier to code for than the PS3.

Whether this translates into better or worse games is an opinion that varies from person to person.

No not really, just retarded xbox vs ps3 threads.Well thanks for the answer. God why cant life just be black and white, why is there always gray in between the two :frowning:

PS3 will have :

The Last Guardian
(From the creators of Shadow of the colossus, so get ready for another master piece  )

And has :

IMO 360, mainly because of the larger selection and the awesome arcade games. Perfect Dark in a week!

360 - Mass Effect, Mass effect 2. Alan Wake. Future Valve Games( Most important)

Im a big fan of the multi platform games such as Assassins Creed 1 & 2. Fifa 10. Nhl 10. Orange Box. And CoD.

ps3 exclusives really didnt do anything for me. could care less about em really. (except for Heavy Rain)

First off, don’t count games that are on the pc as 360 exclusives. That’s one big mistake 360 fan boys make when saying it has more games.

Second, Alan Wake = Heavy Rain rip off. + It will go to pc also
Quantic Dream pioneered these “Heavy Rain” type games when they brought in Indigo Prophecy, a game that I recommend you all play. I trust to them and only them to make the genre right. Not this look alike Alan Wake microsoft crap.

Furthermore, I really don’t get how you guys accept microsoft f#@cking you guys in the ass. PAY FOR ONLINE SERVICE WTF!!! Gimmick, just gimmick.

Second, when I buy a game on steam or Psn for that matter, I pay direct amount. But Microsoft has brought in the casino model with the whole points system. On psn a game that is 10$ can be paid to that amount. But the 360 points model only allows you to add a certain bracket of points. GAY!!!

 1. A lot of people don’t have high-end PCs, so if a game is 360-PC only, they’ll get it for 360. This is a 360vsPS3 thread, so PC releases are ignored.

 2. Alan Wake was in development long before Heavy Rain. Plus the PC version was cancelled. On top of that Heavy Rain is just a bunch of quicktime events, whereas Alan Wake is a psychological action thriller.

 3. LIVE is rather cheap, I can get a full year for $45 AUD, which is $40 USD. That’s $3 a MONTH! I have a PS3 and a 360 and the online experience on the 360 is just better, always has been and unless Sony pull something major out LIVE will continue to beat PSN.

 4. The points system is pretty shit, but then you can get full games for normal dollars and cents. Hopefully at some point they’ll move all the arcade stuff over too.

 5. Perfect Dark in 1080P = 360 wins

Still they aren’t exclusive games, which is the point.

PS3 has the best ENTIRELY exclusive games, functions as a blu-ray player, can watch movies on it upscaled off of a flash drive, motion sensitive controller, better graphics. Wins hands down.

What the “Best” games are depend on the person. The 360 can play movie off a flash drive or external hard drive, too, I’ve done it. Better graphics the way DX10 has better graphics over DX 9 (which means…a bunch of small, barely noticeable stuff that no one cares about). A motion sensitive controller that is hardly ever used.

I’ll give you the Blue Ray bit…

What kind of games are you looking for? That is a major factor in which would be better for you. The PS3 may have more attractive games, but if the 360 has more games that you would like, that would be the better deal.

This always happens when I get this debate. Someone always breaks down the pricing to me and tells me its cheap. Who cares. You’re still paying! In 3 yrs you’ve made up the price difference in the ps3. I’m really not that invested in achievements, and why should people be. Its sad really.

Sony knows it can’t compete vs a pay model. And I’m glad. But lets be honest here. What is it really that Live offers so much better. It seems to me I get the same benefits for free. And if I don’t get “ladder” or “gamerscore” I don’t get them cause I’m paying = FREE!

Not to go all radical here, but the 360 point is marketing evil. Casinos do this also. Its a way to distract people from the fact that they are spending real money. Why did Live on the pc fail. This is the reason. Pc gamers will never pay for something that we have been enjoying for free for years now and that we well know should cost nothing. ENTER STEAM!
