Would you guys be interested in a Pokémon red/blue remake in source?

I am thinking of starting up a mod to recreate the classic Pokémon games in source, 3d and everything like that, I was just curious if it would be worth my time. SO would any of you be interested in playing something like this?

thats prob not a realistic project mate

Stop with the nostalgia threads already, I can’t take any more. :fffuuu:

Not sure about the idea though, those games are rather large and to recreate them with a full 3D evironment seems like a hell of a lot of work.

I would be interessted in playing it, but it would take a long time as already mentioned.
So, it’s up to you :b

Fuck them pokemans, Jingles I know you’re only like 14, but for the love of god, why do you like pokemon?

In fact, I think 14 is already way too old to still be liking them faggiemans.

Maxey’s acting all old 'n stuff.

On topic, of course I would be. But it’s most likely not going to happen.

Very likely.

There have been lot’s of pokemon mods already (none of which ever really amounted to anything), my personal favourite is THIS ONE, although there’s not much on that page anymore.

Their idea is/was to make pokemans more realistic, using THIS GUY’s art. I really like it :3

I know what you mean about it being unlikely to finish due to the sheer amount of modelling required to create 152 pokémon about about 40 different types of characters, not to mention the other required models and maps. But as a concept would you be interested in it? Even if it was just a battle stadium? If it was a battle stadium we could add the different pokemon and moves as we go along.

You actually know how many pokemons there are? Fuck, even my ten year old little brother doesn’t know.

You going to lead the project again?

Yes, byut I think that mod had a bad premise and I was busy with other things, soon I will have lots of free time so it should turn out better. And @SHadow, that is just the original ones, there are far too many now and it is just ridiculous.

try and make something yourself using skills you have/ are capable of learning instead of assembling a “team” that never gets anywhere/ gets some grey weapon renderes and some shitty concept art

^this

stop dreaming
go learning

I am going to spend the majority of my summer holidays learning to model and improving my skills, so yeah I am going to to go learning Kaddo.

You people are not Japanese enough for that kind of project.

the most important skill here is the coding its possible to have aa fun game w/ code and no art but not with art and no codez

Yes I know, hopefully once people would see the mopdels coders could start to takes us seriously and maybe even decide to help out.

A text-based Pokemon RPG? Now, that would be something I’d like to see.

No.
