Well, games based off the two scariest things in films aren’t that good.
Well, AvP on the Atari Jaguar was good.
So was AvP2 on the PC.
Quantic Dream (makers of Heavy Rain, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy), and Omikron) are French, and their HQ is in Paris, France, ergo, French.
the makers of FarCry 1 and Crysis are from Germany, the company is called Crytek.
From Germany are also the games Gothic, Risen, The Settlers and Anno.

Halo is a rip-off of the Ringworld books. and the gameplay was nothing new for pc gamers. Final Fantasy XIII…what crap. Lost all of the spirit of the original series. Tron Evolution…love Tron, hated the Prince of Persia rip-off it inspired, much rather play Tron 2.0.
There’s many more, but The biggest disappointment was Jericho. What fuck up took Clive Barker’s (Hellraiser, Candyman, Lord of Illusions) ideas and turned them into this unoriginal shooter?
This. I played this after being very sceptical of a friend’s recommendation, and it was absolutely fantastic. Like, brilliant. So very, very camp, but very much in the spirit of the original movie.

Most recent game I was hyped up for, there is no multiplayer only 1v1. I don’t know how much time I put into SC: DA’s multiplayer but it was a lot.
