Why Does Everyone Hate CoD:MW 2?

I didn’t enjoy MW2. it was stupid.

Too much effects, too less game.

It’s like a Michael Bay movie:

Go save the world!
KRAWUMMMM!!
EXPLOSION!!

end.

Also, that was the story of the game :stuck_out_tongue:

But I don’t like it too, because I don’t like Infinity Ward anymore. New games do not have dedicated server, because of them

You’ve been trolled mothafucker!

Good excuse! lets run with that.

Good trolls don’t admit they’re trolling. Saying you were trolling is an excuse for making a remark you can’t back up or was just plain stupid.

I don’t hate the game as much as I hate the annoying fanbase. Almost as bad as Halo with its hype.

The server issue aside, my issues with the game are:

The Michael Bay directed single-player campaign.

The horrible spawning.

Unbalanced weapons and perks.

The community. The die-hard 10th Prestige douchebags, the trash-talking young children, and the potheads… holy fuck the potheads.

Dropped this game the day Bad Company 2 released. Teamwork, balanced weapons/classes, awesome player count, VEHICLES.

Yeah, I’m done with MW2. For a while.

same here. the whole game is so very random and just no fun. multiplayer sucks.

yes. right. MW2 was just NOT thought out. 100% camping and perk using.

MW2 multiplayer is fun. People who hate it are just pretentious douchebags. The haters probably get their ass handed to them as well so they flame it.

^^ Not this. the multiplayer is good, but there are several flaws and it is extremely overrated.

Eg. WTF is with nukes? Why is there no respawn protection Why do people take a GAME so seriously? - It isn’t like it matters.

MW2 is fun, I like it. It’s just the multiplayer maps suck compared to the first one. If infinity ward wanted to be cool they would release the MW1 maps as a map pack or something.

case in point.

its multiplayer is fun to play with friends in an internet cafe, i must admit.

But why are you playing this game? If you are a graphic whore, go play crisis or something.

One of my complaints about the game is that during its early development stages, Infinity Ward keeps saying things like Task Force 141 is the “International Coalition of Badasses” and “Best Handpicked Warriors on the planet” which made me expect more from the campaign, but in the finished product many of them keep getting killed off in the most anti-climatic way.

And yes single-player is very, very short like 5 to 6 hours estimated time of completion even in higher difficulties.

The whole TF141 thing might just be me being a perfectionist, but still…

I’ve played a little bit of the single player for COD MW 2 and that was pretty damn cool.
After having played the first COD and EVERY COD since the first one I’ve grown bored of the multi-player. COD MW was fun at first then the chaos just got frustrating then really boring. But I’m a huge fan of Co-op game play and that’s where my heart resides. Chaos multi-player team death match or anything else has been around since I started playing HL 1. It’s a stale game-play with a graphical face lift.

Just my opinion though of course.

And plus the hype of the game is out of control. I go to a tech school and everyone uncluding the instructors can’t stop talking about it and I am sick of hearing about it. I’m at school to learn about motorcycles not talk about an over-rated/over-hyped game.

Wait…people actually care about MW2’s singleplayer? The entire point of the game is MP.

No, normally people make games for singleplayer, then add multiplayer afterwards to keep people playing.

Not Modern Warfare :brow:

Except MW2 is all about the multiplayer…

Hahahaha. this is why I hate console gaming. all its about now is multiplayer. The developers spend more time on multiplayer then singleplayer and ultimately make the singleplayer bad. I have nothing wrong with a game being released with only multiplayer. I mean if CODMW2 was released only multiplayer no one would complain. And at that point it would be ALL multiplayer, but because they put an unpolished bad SP campaign in it will be complained about.
