I was checking out what was going on SPUF’s BMS thread and thought about checking out BMS.com, thing I haven’t done in a few weeks, only to find about that HD crash.
They’re asking what your story was when the hard drive crashed, similarly to how people asked what others were doing when they heard about the JFK assassination- which conspiracy theorists have suggested was actually carried out by a man with an umbrella gun or a shooter from the grassy knoll. Therefore, I posited that the hard drive crash could have been perpetrated by a man with a magnetized umbrella from the grassy knoll.
JEEZ, IT’S LIKE I HAVE TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO YOU PEOPLE.

ok, so i was talking to john about science and hummerangs and, after that i asked him what was going on Sector C Test Labs C/33a Test Chamber, and he said that an experiment was happening there, and i said (what kind of experiment?..).
he then replied that it was and experiment that was analysing one of the purest and most unstable xen crystals we had on these new things called the “hard drives”, they had two of them incase one of them failed.
Little did i knew what it was gonna to happen next… me and john felt what it seemed to be and earthshake and the suddenely… aliens!!! THOUSAND OF THEM!!!
we didnt knew what to do… it was so quick we heard explosions, screams,people screaming “ITS THE GREEN APOCALYPSE, WHERE ALL GONNA DIE AHHHHHHHHHH!”
me and john were scared, but the first thing that camed trough our minds was getting to the surface and get the hell out, so we decided to go to the old labs because i knew that they had a secret lift that would take us straight to the surface, so we went there and we saw the hell was going trough black mesa and when we got there we found a dead security guard, a shotgun, a pistol and a dead zombie, so we picked the weapons to be safe and we went straight to the lift and off to surface we go!
we where so happy that we would finaly escape from that hell…but SUDDENLY AN HEADCRAB jumped to john’s head and i was shocked!, because i didnt knew what to do ive never seen headcrabs acting that way so i didnt knew how to remove then, so i saw the vile beast humping my friends head while he and i where trying to get it off, and then the worst happened… my friend suddenly screamed with a great pain… boll was coming out of his mouth and then HES CHEST OPPENED just like that and i saw his organs and blood hanging in there and he was screasming and crying…i was absolutly terrified and the last few words of my friend was (…kill me…) so i picked my shotgun,then i aimed to his head and then…pulled the trigger and so it was i just killed my big friend john… i ended his life and his suffering… i stayed with him for a few minutes and then i went to the surface, when i got there i saw a few of the others scientists and i asked “hey what happend?”.
and they replied “it was and hardrive crash”
“WHAT? and what about the backup one?” i asked.
“unfortuneley that failed too, both of the hardrives crashed!!” they said
and so that it was an hardrive crash the experiment’s was a failure not even the back up hardrive saved the situation.
then one the scientist’s quickly said:
“hey let’s get out of here quick, i heard the military is going to bomb this place!”
luckily there was a joop nearby so we went there and then we escaped.
so there it was dear viewers here is my version of the HD crash of black mesa

I read about this server crash on another forum, admittedly I weren’t previously a member on these forums.
Logged on and browsed the forums yesterday. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Day later, everything’s gone and I find I have to make my account again. I was saddened for a moment that months/years of BM community history was lost and looked to the news section to get the…well, news.
Not much to it really.
Thoise always make me lol ;D
Anyway, i got up, and saw that the site was down, and the first thing i thought “they cancelled the mod, at fucking last, no more waiting without knowing if it will be ever relesed”.
After few hours i read somewhere the site is back up, so i registred, and posted here ;]
