Ok, I’d love to read everyone’s story on this, I think it would be real interesting. We’re all a part of the history of Black Mesa now. This will be forever remembered as “the great insert description here of may 2nd 2009.”
So, here’s mine:
I basically don’t stay up late at nights, because I usually want to get up at around 7:00am, even on weekends, but today I stayed up (or rather yesterday night I stayed up) to talk to a friend on omgpop. It was odd, because I’d never done that before. So anyways I have Black Mesa’s website stored in Opera’s speed-dial, and I visit it frequently. So late in the night (or possibly early in the morning) I noticed that the page wasn’t loading. I thought it was odd, but I figured it was probably my internet connection (and because I’m stupid and didn’t test any other websites, I reset my router several times in desperation). Then finally I saw some sort of apache file tree. With like 2 folders and an html file. I had no idea that the entire hard drive had gone bad. But then hours later I saw the message about what had happened, and then finally this morning I woke up again, like 30 minutes ago, to find that the forums (or some replacement) were back online. So now I’m right here, and I’m glad to be one of the first registered users on the Black Mesa forums
So, tell me your story!
