Never did, though, beyond weapon SFX and the announcer. Even then, they mess with the files or rerecord the lines.

Asset design in Halo is moderately inconsistent from game to game. Compared to, say, Fallout or CoD

Operation Flashpoint 2. Trying to mix CoD and Arma was the worst idea ever and an insult to Operation Flashpoint. I stopped at the 2nd mission and lost 5€ and 2hour of my life forever.

That too. I played TF2 when I bought the orange box, but then with all those achievments and rpg-esque things, winning is just a matter of how much time to you spend on it.

As to the supposed “rpg” elements, none of the new weapons are particularly improved, they just provide a different play style, in my experience.
