lol, personal insults. youre obiously young and immature.
It all makes sense in the end.
Cock of Dooty 4: Nigger Secrets
Fucking Christ, really?
Seriously?
At least take some initiative and defend the things you LIKE about the game you play instead of copping the fuck out like that.
Well I don’t really want to waste 8 hours of my life just to know why those 8 hours have been so shitty.
Bradley, welcome to the forums. Now get the Fuck out.
Yeah, don’t get me wrong, the first 3 games in the Resident Evil series are far from being “the best games ever”, but I think they’re better in terms of characters, music and overall storyline than any of the other sequels or spinoffs. Just to make myself clear, RE4 isn’t a “bad” game, it just doesn’t have the same feel as the first 3, but I guess that’s what some people like about RE4.
It’s almost the same story for the Oddworld series.
No, I think it too… RE 4 ruined it for the rest of them. The old static camera in the corner or wherever is what made those games amazing. Turning it into a 3rd person view no longer makes it a Resident Evil game, to me. Just the title does.
Also.
I’d have to say Star Wars Battlefront was a big disappointment. Both 1 and 2. The idea was amazing, the execution was horrible. The levels were smaller than your average CoD mp level. How the hell are you supposed to fly around in that. I was under the assumption that they were going to be Battlefiled 1942 size levels, but I was highly disappointed.
Young ? maybe … well I’m 19. Immature ? who are you ! my dad ?
oh lol
I really love both of those games. The second one was little more than a map pack, with some new modes of play, with very few real graphical updates. Granted, they have their problems, but I wouldn’t call either of them horrid or overrated.
You spelt 9 wrong.
Careful with that one, it’s an antique
I like classics.
For me, the worst gameplay compared to the reviews was Virtua Tennis 2009. The main game sites said it improved a bit but not loads on VT3, and the actual court-side stuff was better, but the single-player/‘quest’ mode was absolutely horrific, the minigames didn’t work as well as VT3, and the play styles often made your game worse. Worst of all, the character creation models produced the most scary-looking zombies I’ve ever seen, even though it was unintentional. Even though I got it for a fiver pre-owned, I still felt ripped-off, mainly from the time I gave it in the hope that it would get better.
You’re good at proving my point for me, thanks. =)
Sex is only repetitive if you get to do it regularly. Me, I’m too busy playing games.
Anyway, enough of my RL issues…
I vote for the Gears Of War and Killzone games. Just a load of horrendous noise and endless unintelligible gruntfests. Completely overrated button mashing pointlessness for dribbling, gurning Fox News believers.
Though I guess I did say the same thing about FEAR when it came out, and replayed that recently and thought it actually rather good.
As for the OPs opinion… it’s invalid.
The COD games are by far the most disappointing games i’ve ever played as far as blockbusters go. COD 2 was amazing as a story driven game, the multiplayer was bland but good enough for me to buy all the DLC maps. The 4th was a great step forward but I knew the series was starting to head towards a repeat shitfest once I realized I payed for the same map twice(some French map in COD 2 & Chinatown in COD 4 are exactly the same in layout), & the rest is history.
I’d rather rant about other games that failed to impress me, but that map re-purchase really got under my skin.>
The Silent Hill series…
Heres my story:
Back in the first 6 months of 2010, I saw a trailer/gameplay/interview (can’t remember) of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, and got really excited about it…Wich was odd considering I never actually played or cared about the Silent Hill’s, but that one happened to caught my eyes for reason (of wich I can’t recal). Then, when it came out, I watched the reviews from IGN and GameTrailer and they where so negative I got discuraged.
About a week later, my PSP, wich was being repaired by some guy as trustable as that seller from RE4, was finally done. It happened that the console was no more… So he sold me his hacked PSP for the price of a DS, 25$ and the FPS Moon wich is really worth checking out. On that PSP was Shrek 3: the game, Fifa 2010, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and God of War: CoO(I think). I got rid of the first 2 games and went on to play (finally) play Silent Hill. The result? IT WAS A BLAST!!! I loved every moment and aspect of it, playing most of it during my free times, it took me 2-3 days to finish it. And I recall getting to bed every single one of these days and being stressed because of how much it blew my mind. And the ending is still one of the best ending I’ve ever sceen out of everything and anything, it made all those things I tought where entirely based on suspension of disbelief actually make sense in real life too. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!
Then I watched the “Gaming Live” of it on a french site called Jeuxvideo.com(cus I’m french). On that video, the reviewer mentionned that the great thing about it is that it came back to the psychological routes of Silent Hill 2, wich was also “The best of all Silent Hill’s”… So I tought: “Its gotta be really fucking good if it made a masterpiece like SH:SM look so bad!!!”
So, I went on and downloaded the PC version off of piratebay…(HAX!!! computer screen) But, hey, if I like it, I’ll buy it on Steam right…? So I downloaded this buggy piece of badly ported crap, wich I tought was caused by a bad file, but no! Silent Hill 2 on PC is/was the worst PC port in like ever!!! I mean, Doom on SNES works better on Windows 7 than Silent Hill 2 does. But still, after tweaking a few things, I managed to do all right… But, beside being a fucking horrible port, how good was the game you might ask? IT WAS FUCKING HORRIBLE…
The story didn’t make any fucking sense!!! I kept wondering: “Why are you going to that town? SHE’S DEAD!!!”, " Why don’t you just leave? There’s zombies everywhere!!!", “Why are you slashing at monsters with a chainsaw? RUN!!!”, “Why are you so scared in the cutsenes if you’re so emotionless during gameplay?”, “WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?”
It sucked… I hated every minutes of that buggy, plot-hole filled torture I had to go trough before finally I gave up…
P.S. Mass Effect 2 is boring and all Call of Duty’s after the second one are an insult to video games in general…
CoD 1 was and is still one of my favorite FPS of all time. It was quite revolutionary for it’s time, as it introduced iron sights and highly-scripted sequences. Also you’d get the play as a russian and british soldier, which were also a first.
