What would you say to the haters of HL2?

What would you say to the haters of Half-Life 2? Come on. You know, the little kids who go around to some random forum first chance they get and haven’t even played the game and rage about it! Tell everyone what you think of these “people”. :rage::freeman:

Something glitched below…No clue…

Oh, and don’t forget whining about steam and how “steam sucks”. Steam has gotten shit tons better, I always liked it anyway. Easy as hell to use and connects people. The only tiny little thing I could possibly bitch about is the constant maintenance. But I am not an impatient fuck bag.

Good one.

“Your argument is invalid”
simple

I’ll say what I always say when someone says something stupid.
“lern2life n00b”
Yes, I know it’s stupid, but I’ve been saying it in real life for multiple years now so it’s kinda stuck xD

Uhh, nobody bashes Half-Life because nobody but pc gamers know what Half-Life is. And whoever told you pc gamers (Heck, any gamers) matter is probably obese.

But they do matter. They’re a legitimate form of entertainment. And for the record, I’m not even overweight, let alone obese.

I have yet to find someone who actually knows what HL2 is and doesn’t like it, but I have met a few for Portal.
“You’re just angry because you couldn’t figure out the first test chamber.”

I’d try and see how good they are at hatin’ with a crowbar up their ass.

arguments, gentlemen

i wouldn’t say anything to them

in fact, they wouldn’t say anything either, considering that after I’d be done with them they wouldn’t be able to say anything ever again

When The Orange Box came out, I played and beat Episode 2 and Portal within 24 hours of getting them. I didn’t like Portal much. The portals were nifty, but I don’t like puzzle games, and very few of the puzzles in Portal actually made you think, not counting the advanced maps. It was usually “Oh, there’s an obstacle, and an obvious place to put portals to get around it.”

I never got anyone at school to fall in love with Portal, like i did. Most of them are just confused by it, and said they hated it :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, if someone were to tell me that they disliked half-life, I would ask what it is they hate about it, then agree/disagree with them.

A few people, myself included, like to trash games around certain groups of people when they’re being cunts, just for kicks. With obnoxious pc elitists, it’s usually Valve games.

I barley know anybody that knows what Half-life is, let alone hate it.
But if I did meet someone, I’d learn what they dislike about it, then I’d tell them “This crowbar will be down your throat shorty. Your argument is invalid.”. Then I’d proceed to clean the inside of their esophagus with said crowbar.

I wouldn’t tell them anything because I don’t care what they think.

totaly this, yeah hl2 is kind of popular amongs the old hardcore gamers, and steam users, but lets be real, nobody cares about it anymore. I know only few ppl among my gamer friends who heard about it, and none who played it. The games is old and on a platform that is barely held alive by mmos, and still games sales are 30% lower than last year.
And if ever meet anybody who bashed it, i would probly say hes right, the game was nowhere near perfect when it shipped, and by todays standards it average at best.
Anyway the hip thing now is to hate on halo, or modern warfere, but mw is dead since the creators got fired and studio got closed so next year we will hate on cod black ops, i dont think you will find much if any hl2 haters ;]

…You’re probably just mad because you got frustrated getting on ladders in the 1st Half-Life and now you have so much trouble getting off them so you rage quit.

man thats actually true, i got so used to sticky ladders in counter strike, but when i started plaing years ago i would die whenever i got near any of them ;f

Consoles are the big thing right now, and that’s probably the main reason Half-Life isn’t so popular anymore. that and Valve hasn’t really mention Half-Life in while now. Valve’s focus is on the PC, so that’s probably why it isn’t so big. If they released Episode 3 on consoles and PC, and it was their best game yet, then I would put my money on it’d be awarded Game of The Year more than HL1 was, and be possibly the most popular that year. But that’s only my thoughts.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
