Space invaders on this crappy 8 colour computer we had, once we got a new one though I started out playing Ancient Empires
pit fall on a atari 2600 I think it was.
Spyro the Dragon! Good ol’ Playstation. It got crap after Insominiac sold it off to EA or something. Sometimes I wish that they would remake it for the PS3 in shiny shiny graphics. Got round to re-playing it though on the PSP (custom firmware ftw).
either rayman 2, Half-Life or Midtown Madness 2. all released late 90’s/early 00’s. it wasn’t until viewing this thread I realized just how new I was to the gaming community.
R-Type on cousin’s Sinclair ZX Spectrum. / First PC game was Grand Prix-Accolade and then Prince of Persia… Most memorable I think Transport Tycoon and System Shock.
Caveman on the Commodore 64 on “PC” and Super Mario on the Nintendo
Crash Bandicoot. Fucking awesome.
Star Wars on the SEGA Master System.
Wow, looking at a bunch of these posts there are quite a few young 'uns here
Hmmm, probably Pitfall for Atari. For PC… well, the ones I remember are Duke Nukem (the platformer, not 3D) and Commander Keen and such. But I probably played some non-memorable ones before that.
The one that really got me into PC gaming was Quake though. I mean, DooM did as well (and Heretic and Hexen and such), but technically Quake was what took me over the edge. I’ve never come back…
The game that kind of got me into FPSes was Wolfenstein 3D. I couldn’t stop playing that. I didn’t play much in the way of other FPSes until Quake came out, which I sat down and beat with the only breaks for the bathroom. Then Quake 2. Quake 3 kinda sucked for me because I didn’t like the multiplayer aspect (I’m a single-player kind of guy). Then I heard about this “sciency” game called “Half Life” that had aliens, so I got that. :jizz:
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Goldeneye 007 for Nintendo 64 or Super Mario 64
Windows Pinball. Which is still the best pinball game ever.
EDIT: It’s actually called 3D Pinball SPACE CADET.
I think it was either Super Mario 64 or Pokemon Red…
Got pulled in with Klaxon and Mortal Kombat 2.
Sonic and Spyro the Dragon is what got me interested.
Halo and Halflife is what locked me in tight.
Super Mario 64.
I may not be as old as some people on here, but my N64 was my only console until 2006.
Personally, I think the N64 is still the best console that was ever made.
I’ve played at least 5 PC pinball games(2 were on DOS) before playing space cadet on windows NT 4.0.
Totally
My 1st videogame ever…
Oh yeah, Asteroids on Atari 7800 (1987)
After strait to N64 with Mario Kart and then ending PC with Tiberium Sun.
Ahh, good’ ol days…
First game ever played, Horace Goes Skiing on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum (16K!!)
First game ever finished, Monty on the Run (Commodore64)
