What Game Did You Play Today?

Thief 2 has a lot more actual thievery and not really any typical monsters, though the story in Thief TDP is better.

Doing a new playthrough of Grand Theft Auto IV… if my Xbox would stop overheating every two fucking seconds. This is getting really old. I should just re-buy it and the DLC on PC or PS3 so I can play it on something that won’t overheat so fucking easily.

Have you tried cleaning out the fan casing, etc?

I just took some compressed air to it. Generally the overheats happen after the thing’s been on for a couple hours at least. I used to live closer to an ocean so the console didn’t overheat nearly as often (due to the cooler air). But I moved inland, so the inadequacies of the 360’s heat sink in comparison to the cool as a cucumber PS2 and PS3 are quite apparent. I don’t think either of those things have ever overheated on me, and I keep my PS2 in an enclosed desk drawer. That is one cool unit.

Xenoblade Chronicles.
Hell, it’s a drug. And I have never seen a world map as huge and colorful as this. Astounding.

You find yourself in a room.

Surprisingly entertaining.

More BM.

The Questionable Ethics lobby shootout becomes a lot easier on hard once you realize that there is 2 SMG grenades sitting right on the front desk next to the hand grenades

:what:

I kept trying to get those on my second playthrough and couldn’t even find them. The damn things are tiny.

Go to the grenades on the floor, then stand up and walk into the front desk next to them, it should auto pick them up when you touch the desk there.

So finally bought the PC version of GTAIV since my friend kept asking me, and then he just leaves when it finishes installing :what:

FTL

Never open your door-subsystem to the airlocks to vent fire. As soon as I do that, the enemy always takes out the subsystem and then I’m fucked.

Played (read: stumbled around the interface in) Europa Universalis III Chronicles for a couple hours. It’s decent so far, I’m sure it would be more fun if I knew what the hell I was doing. I’m making like 3 ducats per month or something and have 3 advisers. I don’t feel like I’m doing too well, though I am at least still in the game.

I wouldn’t even dream of playing meatboy or dmc4 on anything BUT a pad. Invest, you won’t regret it.

that was good, It’s the only text game that I’ve ever enjoyed. then again the only other text game I got to play was Zork on black ops…

Also, playing some Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest this has got to be one of my favorite Final Fantasy’s top 3 or 5 at least.
Darksiders II later on, this game is amazing, well over 70+ hours of gameplay and worth your money if you haven’t bought it yet.

Borderlands 1. Don’t see what all the hype is over. It’s a good game though. I’m only at the very beginning but it bugs me that there isn’t a lot of narration or direction on what to do. It seems very fetch-quest-y. But like I said, I’m only at the begging so I don’t want to draw an opinion on it just yet. And I also have to say this:

^ Yeah, BL1 was pretty boring. It’s apparently fun in co-op, but I played SP all the time. So yeah, overrated.

As for what I’m playing: Persona 4 on Normal, currently trying to rescue Kanji from his repressed homosexual urges turned gigantic spa dungeon.

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor

Me and a friend tried to do a compstomp match and ended up getting raped slowly by the AI over the course of a 7-hour game.

Horrible.

I got to one mission in that game (original CoH I think though) and was getting completely destroyed. I’m terrible at RTS games.

CoH is definitely one of the harder ones. It can get real fun though.

Let me guess: The Redball Express mission. Seriously, fuck that mission.

Was playing Borderlands 2 today. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Just put down Black Mesa couple of minutes ago (as I am too tired to even walk straight in it lol).

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
