What don’t you like about outcast if I might ask?
I like Dark Forces 2 a ton better myself, but I thought JK2 was a good game.

Right click with the bowcaster, instant death to any stormtrooper or officer provided you hit the face.
Terrible level design. I hated the flow from one area to the other. I have no idea why they put a sniper level just after giving you the best short-range weapon ever. The forced stealth mission was completely out of place. Most of the gameplay on that ship was horrid. What was up with that generator puzzle? All the puzzles were shit. The swamp levels were total ass. There were one hit kill death traps with no indication you were about to do something wronf. You just had to know, “Hey! Don’t go there!” There were a few bugs where if you did something out of sequence you couldn’t continue (the one that pissed me off most was right before meeting the villain when destroying the shield generators, if you went passed the elevator to take you down into the hangar area to a health recharge station that wasn’t quite out of the way, and then down into the hangar, you couldn’t continue because the door next to the station would bug out and not ever open).
I had my reasons.
I grabbed TimeShift in the Activision sale.
Kind of mediocre, honestly. The gameplay is fine but not revolutionary, and the story is a bit of a mess. One thing I’ll say for it is that it’s hard. I’m playing on their medium setting, and you absolutely have to manage your time-shifting abilities efficiently or you have swiss cheese made of you.
Just play Academy, it’s the best game ever.
More Pokemon X. I’m about to face the final gym leader before facing the Elite Four.
I did enjoy outcast but I have to say there are things about that game that greatly annoy me.
In fact it pisses me off that people skip over Jedi Knight 1 when as a game JK1/Dark Forces 2 has really inventive and much more fun level design, and the gunplay in it is actually really good. And people just jump past it because the saber combat isn’t as good as outcast.
Dark Forces 1 is also a great one.
Defeated the Elite Four and champion in Pokemon X. Now it’s time to catch several more legendary Pokemon.
I love Jedi Knight. One of my favorite games ever. Besides the awesome gameplay, level design, and atmosphere, there’s just so many fun things you can do in that game, like blasting stormtroopers off of cliffs with the concussion rifle, or stealing their weapons and watching them run around like idiots. Plus some of the most tense and scary moments I’ve had in gaming came from JK - racing past the kell dragons in the dark room in the temple, walking on a ledge on the impossibly high tower in Baron’s Hed while air blasts threaten to push you off to your death…
Played some Metal Slug 3. I forgot how hard that game is. No surprise, being originally an arcade game.
Titanfall. I really dig the map design of this game. Hope the DLC is up to the same high water mark. (And release some mod tools already, Respawn!)
Fucked around with some mods on SG.
MIIIIGHT be doing something wrong here. Just a hunch.
FEAR. The part with the tesla-coiled invisible ninja guys was really fun.
One thing that really bugs me is that the replica soldiers’ very unprofessional radio chatter doesn’t really mesh with the whole “psychically linked cloned super-soldiers” thing. I liked them much better in FEAR 2, where you start out fighting normal humans, and when the replica soldiers show up they’re completely silent.
Borderlands 1, and a bit of Black Mesa Source.
Tried out the demo for XIII, and I’m sorta on the fence about it. It’s cute (and challenging) but I’m just not sure it’s worth it.
Saints Row The Third. Had to reinstall it to get it to work properly. Not much work, but more than I was expecting to invest for the weakest game in the series.
It’s my second favourite personally. My favourite is and will always be Saints Row IV. I found Saints Row 2 painful to play due to the lackluster PC port of it and the story lacked the over-the-top humor I loved in SR3. It just felt too restrained for my taste. And since I don’t have a 360 I’ve never played Saints Row 1.
I loved IV as well, but I also love 2. The world seemed more diverse, there was a hell of a lot more gameplay than The Third which was missing regular Mayhem, and races, where the hell did the races go? I also thought the humor and story in 2 were fine and entertaining. Oce I figured out how the game worked it became my favorite open world game for a month or two (until I played IV
). The third was just missing something…
I couldn’t get into SR2 personally, but that’s just me I suppose.
OT: Playing BMS today mostly.
Hm. Saints row 2 and 3 are in this weeks humble bundle. Might pick them up if anyone recommends them. Don’t really like any of the other games in the bundle except Metro, and I already have it.
Today I played some Capsized and Dishonored:TBW (got it right this time, woo). I finished it last week but I love running around and doing random things or trying new tactics.
I enjoyed it quite a bit, and LOVED the whole greenery in the final mission, since most of Dishonored isn’t very colorful obviously.
I loved Saints 2. Played it twice already, and will probably play many more times.
The Third is fun, worth playing for cheap. Just not as good as 2 and IV to me
