What Game Did You Play Today?

If you like guys love that mod so much, you can probably find some obscure little forum to talk about it on.

My thoughts entirely.

It has guns and aliens and shit.

lol I just looked it up and it’s just a port of some ancient Doom ripoff. Why do people even bother with that junk?

Played Half-Life Deathmatch with many people (including Text, Crypt, and .RK). It was very hectic, but fun regardless.

Been playing Saints Row IV a third time. I did all of the available open world activities before playing any of the story missions. I’m about to fully rescue Matt, maybe tomorrow, maybe on Wednesday.

I tried out DOTA 2 for the first time today. And I had a blast with it! I’m gunna go back for more tomorrow.

I got stuck on a stealth mission in Mafia yesterday. There’s no quicksaves in the game so certain parts, and some are pretty long, you have to complete in their entirety before the game will save, which I didn’t to. I got inside the place you need to infiltrate and then didn’t look well enough and got caught. I think you can shoot your way out of things in this level but I would prefer not to do that.

What was the name of the mission, again?

Visiting Rich People

Oh. That.

The big mansion and everything.

Beat the mission and did the one after it now. Should really replay Mafia 2 after this as well, especially since now I’m able to max the game out. The AI in Mafia is pretty stupid though. If the game gives me a partner they usually just stand in one place while getting show or run into the gunfire like idiots.

I know the pain.

Played some PvP in ArmA 3 yesterday. Boy, am I rusty. Ended up with a negative K/D. That’s the creepy guy for you. Could’ve been the M14 EBR that wouldn’t kill people… And the TAR-21 that is too weak to hurt anything but a fly. I swear I went away giving headshots (or at least torso shots…) with both. Bleedin’ US platecarriers… And CSAT chestrigs.

Oh, also. There are apparently 67 people who’d ace talking with you guys better than me. In my country. Roughly my age. Hah. I wanna see that. Well, in this competition, I couldn’t employ the scare - people either get NERVOUS as fuck when they hear me and start thinking they don’t stand much chance - or are fucking GODLIKE at English.

Also… no recognition whatsoever for my skills. AGAIN. I should’ve really went for joining the military. Who knows, maybe I could’ve been a sniper. Or a guy behind a desk. Both is equally probable. And both is equally not going to happen.

Played a bit further in Arkham Origins. That Deathstroke fight was awful. You pretty much need to have the game’s hints on to beat him and the whole thing is one big qte for the most part.

Also started a new game in Max Payne 3 and played some more Mafia.

Spent a decent portion of the day playing Half-Life: Decay. I’m not sure if it’s because I actually have the PS2 CD, but it runs pretty much flawlessly when emulated.

Star Trek Online.

I drop kicked a giant cyborg T-Rex.

I’ve been playing a possibly unhealthy amount of Bad Company 2: Vietnam, and today we lost every round, if only because there was a hilariously stupid conversation in the chat window. Two opposing players must’ve really hated eachother, because it started out as the typical “noob”, “hacker” and “what hacker i don’t hack” but it proceeded for thirteen matches. By the time I’d left, they’d run out of insults but it had gone nowhere so fast that everyone who wasn’t joining the argument was pissing themselves laughing.

More Star Trek Online.

This game actually has a bunch of the actors from various Star Trek series providing voice acting for their own characters.

I really don’t understand how to do a lot of stuff in Arkham Origins. I’m pretty much just playing the main story because any time I try something like the Riddler’s missions it highlights a bunch of stuff that I don’t know what to do with.

Also I don’t think the smaa I’m using is showing up in my PrecisionX screenshots.

Sounds typical of he franchise from what I’ve played of Arkham City. I hate looking things up and referring to guides for games, but there have been multiple times where the game provided no info as to what you’re supposed to be doing or how to execute a move in the augmented training things.

I would also typically finish part of the main quest line and then go off to do a side quest or mess around and end up having no clue where to go next to continue the story. Still a really fun game, though. I will have to check out origins after.
