Got Fallout New Vegas a while back. Anyone recommend any mods (other than Project Nevada)
Are you kiddin’? There are TONS of mods available. You need to do some homework. Visit the Fallout New Vegas Nexus website. If you need to register as a member, it’s easy and gives you access to the Nexus group of websites that include other popular games.

Playing RAGE. The texture pop-in is distracting. The game looks great if you incorporate some of the video fix config files (depending on your system specs) settings people have posted on the net. Unfortunately, you can’t avoid the horrendously long level loads in the game. It completely breaks and totally interferes with the immersion factor.
Trying out the PC edition of Just Cause 2. I really hate the controls- they have too many keys for the actions in-game. Having sprint and roll on separate keys is very annoying to me, as is their default placement- sprinting and then rolling opens the Steam overlay and renders you unable to pause the game. Urgh.
Mariokart on a Nintendo 64 w/ three others in splitscreen. Fucking classic.
I changed the Steam overlay key combo to Shift-End… haven’t had that problem with any game since
View -> Settings -> In-Game -> Press shortcut keys:
Seconded-edededededededededed.
OT - Blade and Soul. Chinese MMO. Gotta say, probably some of, if not the best combat in an MMO I’ve ever experienced.
I haven’t had any problems with that, but I just might follow your advice anyway. That is a great idea.
ditto
You could also be a badass like me and switch from WASD to RDFG. Then just translate the sprint and roll keys over a couple keys. I’ve got so many hotkeys with this configuration it’s ridiculous.
Played and finished both Metroid Fusion and Burial At Sea today. Both pretty good, both ending with me wanting more.
Metroid Fusion is the best game on the GBA, bar none. Incredibly well-designed game.
nno its not even the best metroid on gba
Beat VVVVV. Still need to go back and get all the collectibles, I think I’m missing 6. One of them took forever to get. You had to fall up like 5 rooms while dodging spikes and then when you get to the top you don’t even have time to think because the platform you land on disinigrates in like 3 seconds, but you have to go all the way back down while dodging the spikes again.
Also played some Sleeping Dogs some more. I’ll have to think about disabling vsync on some games because in most games it seems to keep framerate fluctuations to a minimum by just limiting the framerate. Haven’t seen any tearing either with Sleeping Dogs with vsync off, which is good.
Doing things the hard way. Best music for the hardest level in the game.
About the start playing the original UFO Enemy Unknown with OpenXcom. Wondering of any of the other ones are worth playing too. I know that they recently remade the game with modern graphics but they also apparently removed a bunch of stuff from it too.
XCOM: EU 2012 is a fantastic game and you need to play it.
I’ve been playing RE6 and I think it’s quite enjoyable. I also bought and beat Riptide as well.
Hm, maybe I’ll try it out. I noticed while playing the original that if you get into someone’s line of site the other person could fire even if it isn’t their turn. That doesn’t seem very fair, they should only be able to attack on their turn.
I’ve captured 1 UFO and died on two other missions, which I think both were done with the same UFO. One had like 4 aliens inside of it when I went in. Managed to kill one but my guy died and then another guy was shot and killed the moment he stepped inside because of what I said above. I managed to have one guy at least get out if I was losing badly though.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is pretty good. Depending on your tastes you may or may not like it better than the original X-COM: UFO Defense / UFO: Enemy Unknown.
Haven’t got the expansion/DLC Enemy Within.
That’s Reaction Fire / Opportunity Fire / Overwatch, if a character / alien has enough time units left at the end of their turn, they can fire/attack things that enter their line of sight (depending on various stats and conditions).
Soldiers in XCOM: EU can do something similar (Overwatch), but you have to activate it manually.
