It’s not even locked on the Xbone, it still drops into the 40s quite a bit.
Yeah, I know. I realize I should’ve worded that better.
That quest sucked ass. The loot was cool, but Jesus the enemies don’t die in a way that promotes it, like you said, as a modern military shooter.
Yeah. Kinda like in Skyrim (and the rest of the TES games), the combat system in Fallout isn’t all that great by itself. It’s only when combined with the exploration, quests, and need for resource management that it makes for a fun experience.
I think that the combat gameplay needs to be done over for FO4, in many ways. It’d be nice to not be so dependent on VATS in gunfights. FONV had slightly better gunplay imo.
Titanfall. Comcast seems to have finally gotten their shit together, and holy crap, when my connection’s working properly I’m good at this game.
I dunno what a “MEGA KILL” is, but I got one.
I’ve been playing Destiny since I got my PS4. I’m actually really enjoying this game, I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first, but it is quite fun.
I also got Metro Redux and am playing the Metro games for the first time (though I’ve read the book before). That one’s great, especially with my nice headphones I finally got working. My only beef so far is that I’m doing the section prior to entering Cursed Station, and it really sucks cause I’m low on ammo and lost xD but it’s been a blast so far.
Contract JACK. Holy fuck what did they do.
The shooting feels good and very FEAR-esque with the environment interaction with weapons, but the good AI from NOLF 2 has been replaced with chargers, and they throw more enemies in the first 3 levels at you than you face in the entirety of NOLF 2.
All you do is kill things, progress, kill things, unlock door, etc. Which wouldn’t be bad if it had good level design but it doesn’t, and stealth isn’t even a gameplay choice.
It’s almost like Call of Duty: NOLF skin with all the humor, personality and character stripped out as well as the good writing, interesting level design, and inventive gameplay options.
Yeah, from what I hear, Contract J.A.C.K. was just fuck-awful and pretty much single-handedly killed the franchise.
It’s so meh I feel like uninstalling it and playing a NOLF 1/2 mod instead.
Somebody should remake NOLF 1 on a modern engine with the stealth gameplay improvements from NOLF 2 and the same type of particle effects that FEAR used for firefights as well as the AI.
I think that’d be a pretty amazing game.
Good luck getting the rights to the franchise- there is a huge legal clusterfuck that even prevents the original from being re-released digitally. Supposedly that might get resolved soon, but it’s quite a task.
Yeah i know. Sucks, especially considering NOLF isn’t exactly something that has much in the way of spiritual successors or many games in general that are similar and as high quality.
Titanfall.

My first hacking accusation! <3
Found a Chip’s Challenge port that works on Windows 7 so I played that for a bit. Probably have close to 1000 levels with the original levels and the 3 level packs.
I tried out the Titanfall campaign. It had some very cool scripted events and setpieces, and it’s neat how the voiceovers react to the match, but overall it was a bit underwhelming.
I think what bugged me the most was that they didn’t even try to make the IMC sympathetic. The very first IMC mission opens with some characters discussing how using their Spectres to massacre any civilians they come across isn’t a very effective field trial… Throughout which exchange I was just sitting in the dropship, glaring at Blisk and wishing the game would let me defect to the Militia. :hmph:
I get the feeling that they were going for something morally ambiguous. On the Militia side, they basically blunder into a frontier town who does not want them and their conflict with the IMC there.
Quinn ruins everyone’s lives, not just top laners.
About 9 hours ago I purchased “Assassin’s Creed II”.
EDIT: On the next day: have played some more of it, and, oh boy(!), it is cool!
Minecraft.
lol im so orginal lololol XDDDDohmyfuckinggod I can’t do this. Talking like that feels like I’ve got some sort of horrible brain injury. How do other people my age do this unironically and not end up in some mental ward?
You are in a ward. We’ll give you more drugs, you won’t remember a thing.
Finished metro 2033 redux today. I felt like applauding, it was a great game, now that I’ve finally finished it.
