Started up Fallout (the original) again and actually learned how to play this time. It’s fun. Think I’m about level 5.
Tried the demo. Having problems with the bink video audio. Saw a thread about it here. However, the fix described there disables the audio for my entire PC. Any other suggestions, maybe some kind of fix in the BaseEngine config?
Chapter 5 in Mafia II for 360. It’s the same mission used in the demo, except there’s snow on the ground. Definitely a fun game that keeps the tension built in the crescendo events of each chapter. Though I can’t wait to be let loose a bit, and be allowed to choose which missions to handle next, if at all. The original Mafia had some pretty tight reigns, so at least I’m accustomed to it.
Also played some DLC in Left4Dead 2, and some Blur on the 360 this past week when I went down to my parents in North Carolina.
I also finally finished Wolfenstein E1M1 in Minecraft. If I record it, and upload it to YouTube, do you think anyone would have an interest in watching it?
Mafia 2 was a great game, but you’re always guided. A bit like L.A. Noire actually.

Okay, so I kinda fixed the audio problem. I turned off “Natural Sound Expander.” It still doesn’t play the sounds right off the bat, but if I pause the cutscene for a few seconds and resume on these settings, the sound kicks in. Da faq.
Been playing Dota 2 for a while now, kinda getting into the trading business.
Finally finished Dead Space 2.
Holy fuck, that last level is hard. The boss fight in particular was incredibly frustrating until I realized that if I zoomed in, I could take out each stage with about two shots each the seeker rifle.

even though most people would probably hate it, I like it. It reminds me of getting attacked by a facehugger in AvP, and the
range actually seems like it only happens when they are directly facing your head and are really close so it hasn’t effected
crowbar-ing them.
