What Game Did You Play Today?

World of Tanks :retard:

Oh, World of Prototype Tanks That Never Saw the Light of Day.

That game?

A WWII tank game that only used tanks which saw active duty would be pretty unexciting.

Yeah, that one.

PzKpfw I, PzKpfw II, PzKpfw III, PzKpfw IV, PzKpfw V “Panther”, PzKpfw VI “Tiger”, PzKpfw VI(B) “Königstiger”.
Marder I/II/III, Jagdpanzer IV, Jagdpanzer V “Jagdpanther”, Jagdpanzer VI “Jagdtiger”, Ferdinand/Elefant.
SturmGeschütz III, SturmGeschütz IV.

On to 'Muricah:
M3 Stuart, M5 Stuart, M4 Sherman (about two dozen versions saw ACTIVE duty, actually, quite a few as “Funnies” - specialist armor such as T-34 Calliope bases, “Crocodile” flamethrower tank, “Crab” minefield clearing unit… I could go on here), M26 Pershing (20 delivered to Europe by the war’s end, one of them knocked out AFAIK).
M18 Hellcat, M10 Wolverine, M36 Jackson (Battle of the Bulge and onwards).

God save the Queen… err, I mean United Kingdom:
Matilda (Queen of the Desert), Cromwell, Churchill (Again, used as Funnies, just like the Americans used Sherman tanks - Crocodile, AVRE with 290mm Petard Spigot mortars, want me to go on?), M4 Sherman “Firefly” (I don’t count Firefly as an American version - as far as I know they had their own M4A4(76W) and didn’t “need” 17-pndr fitted versions)

Can’t be arsed to name any more, but I guess not half bad, just spitting this out off the top of my head. Also, AVRE is an acronym for Armored Vehicle Royal Engineers, and doesn’t refer specifically to the Churchill - actually, there were numerous versions of tanks converted to AVRE since Mark I Tank of World War One, through Churchills, Chieftains up to modern Challenger tanks.

Yeah, a game using ONLY tanks that saw ACTIVE DUTY during WWII would be INCREDIBLY dull and low on different types of tanks! OHMAGAWD!

And now realize, I didn’t even properly take a look at Germany or America, I glanced at UK, and didn’t even bother trying to name all the different T-34s, KV’s an IS’ I know! Not to mention the Japanese ALSO HAD TANKS. They didn’t really match the Shermans, but apparently could give a Stuart a run for it’s money. Oh, and… The Canadians were creating Kangaroo Carriers by converting tank chassis. One of the “source” tanks was, YEAH YOU GUESSED IT, A CANADIAN TYPE.

Tank goodness for all of that info!

Geez, Serza, for a moment there I thought you’d been taken over by a spambot.

Mario 3D World.

It’s like the only game on the Wii U…
Well I’m not gonna mention Lost World

You could try Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze out if you want.

Anyway, I played some more FEAR 3.

The Donkey Kong Country series never really stood out to me for some reason. It’s fun enough, I suppose, but eh…I couldn’t really get into it for some reason.

I may have overreacted a bit, but I’m still not a spambot :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, I guess the list isn’t a bad thing. Even Germans had several versions of their tanks.
Pz.III would be J (50mm cannon) and N (short 75mm)
Pz.IV would be F and G (both are long-barelled 75mm cannon versions though)

Getting close to the end of FEAR 3.

Fez for 5 minutes. Realised I couldn’t be arsed figuring out any of the secrets today since I’ve basically done ‘all’ the exploring I can, and didn’t want to cheat.

Moved onto some Dishonored for fun sneaking and occassionally trying out killing sprees.
Finished off with DL-ing Borderlands 1 again and hoping when I do the FoV tweaks I’ll be able to play it.

Hmm. Reminds me, my SR:TT Coop buddy played SRIV with somebody else on release (as I’ve claimed disinterest in it at the time) so I had to play it solo when the free weekend came :frowning:

That sucked.

Is this your first play through?

Yes it is.

Edit: Just finished it. What a disappointing game it turned out to be. FEAR 3 could’ve been so much more.

Haha that was my next question. I found it to be a decent game in terms of playability and such, but the whole atmosphere reeked of mass produced crap just as much as the rest of the game. It’s like it went CoD kinda.

I agree. Day 1 Studios did just fine with the gameplay aspect of FEAR 3, but not the horror aspect of the game. The horror aspect of the game just really wasn’t really there compared to FEAR 1 and FEAR 2.

Edit: Anyway, I just started playing Orcs Must Die! and I really like this game. It’s a lot of fun.

Human Revolution with Dev Commentary. The implementation is SO bad: you can’t tell if you’ve played a certain audio file before, and there’s no easy way to stop the audio when you’ve hit play and realized you’ve already listened to that track before. The commentary itself is pretty insightful most of the time, though.

Now gonna play NG+.

Finally finally finally beat Orstein and Smough in Dark Souls. I leveled up a bit more and then it only took me a few more tries.
