What Game Did You Play Today?

Dishonored on very hard, going for zero kills and zero alerts.

Already did it once, but that was on a pirated version a year ago. Gotta make it official.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

One of my personal picks for Game of the Year.

This review says everything https://steamcommunity.com/id/maxey/recommended/225080/

Picked it up as well.

Except being Australia, it’s the low violence version. GG government. Shove a skyhook into someones face, snap their neck. Crows literally eating people? Nah that’s not very violent.

Your review is fucking on point. I’m about two hours in and it’s mind-bogglingly good. Anyone who likes puzzle games and platforming should love this.

EDIT: FUCK that ending. FUCK IT.

…Dead Island…

Dishonored for the first time. It’s now on my list of favorite games.

Been playing L.A. Noire today, after a two day Battlestar Galactica marathon.

Another playthrough of Dishonored! This time with gratuitous amounts of hacky slashy and no upgrades on very hard.

Played some Thief Gold today, I’m stuck in the Guild mission and I can’t find the damn key for the safe.

Y’know… that’s the ONLY thing that’s “SO MUCH WIN” about Czech Republic over you Aussies. I think I’d even be able to deal with “violence in games”, Australia style… Only maybe NZ would be better. More green, I’m not one for deserts.

australia is for idiots

Do you know how an Australian flips tables?

Upside down.

I mentioned Dead Island as another example of our Classification Board being inconsistent - Dead Island was much more violent than Left 4 Dead 2 (from what I’ve seen of it), yet was released here uncensored…

On-topic: playing through Assassin’s Creed 2, had an odd glitch in Saint Mark’s Basilica with one of the triggers for the puzzle turning invisible, but otherwise working normally. Ezio swinging around on it in mid-air was a funny sight.

EDIT: Video. Seems it’s a fairly common bug.

It’s cause they all had wonderful Australian accents.

Played a couple challenge maps in Batman Arkham Asylum.

I’m not sure what those two have to do with each other. Wouldn’t BSG inspire you more to play FTL or EVE or Battlefront or something?

Went on to the second Assassin’s Creed.

Couldn’t finish the first without my nerves going nuts! Still, I managed to connect with Altaïr better than most of the AC IV characters…

For example, having the “Altaïr moment” in AC II had a stronger effect on me than say one of your fellow pirates dieing ten feet away from you, or one of your fellow Assassin’s dieing in your hands…

So far… AC II is way better than the first, and I think it even beats Black Flag to me. Now, why didn’t I pick up these awesome series a lot sooner?
I missed out on banging blue aliens, seeing things from the past, being terrified aboard mining ships in the ass-end of the galaxy, slaying loads of Zed’s… Glad I’ve seen it all now!

I think Trouble in Terrorist Town might be more fitting too

Speaking of, I saw the new Thief game on steam for pre-purchase (or maybe I’m incredibly behind on things LOL).
Really excited for it!

Played some Sir, you are being hunted. Hadn’t played it since the latest release with the new enemy and game hunting. Really like the changes and updates they’re doing with it.

Finished the story campaign of Batman Arkham Asylum.
