Don’t expect your soldiers to come out in one piece on Classic. Eventually it will get hard enough to where you expect to lose at least one soldier in certain missions.
I’ve heard player soldiers are basically cannon fodder on Impossible.

Didn’t play anything today except some 2k4 earlier, spent the rest of the day with a couple of friends. I really have an urge to reinstall Battlefield 2142 again, but I’m afraid when I do all the servers will be empty.
2142 was still my favorite in the series, had such a good blend of teamwork and gameplay even in pubs, and the maps were excellent.
EDIT:
gmDoom is out.
Played some Burnout Revenge today while waiting for my level to compile.
I played some Beat Hazard. My horrid musical tastes aside, this game is so pretty and fun. The way it changes gameplay pace with your music is pretty great.
Played some DooM 3 and GmDooM on GMOD… I’ve been playing a lot of DooM lately
It’s either capitalized as DOOM or Doom.
On that note, I’ve been playing Doom.
It’s actually a lot of fun, aside from the weird controls… I can’t seem to turn around as many times as I want. And why are there keybinds for every single one of the options?
What version of doom are you playing?
I guess “DooM” is sort of okayish because of the styling of the title ("o"s are small), but just “Doom” makes more sense and is easier to type.
On that note, trying out a bunch of Doom source ports, seeing which one is more intuitive or whatever.
EDIT: Fuck it, going with Doomsday. I don’t really care that I then can’t play Brutal Doom, it’s just less fiddly.
That’s still the shareware version (I.E. not the full game) and you’d be better off downloading the actual shareware version and using a source port instead. That way you get actual music, you can set up the controls however you want and run it in higher resolutions.
Just buy the id Super Pack next time it’s on sale on Steam.
What’s the difference between the shareware and full version? According to the wiki the shareware version only has the first episode, whereas the one I linked features three of them.
Try starting a game on anything other then knee deep in the dead. It tells you you need to get the full version in the one you linked.
Just blew myself up on purpose in the Xbox 1 port of Half Life 2. Barney is reciting his nag to follow lines every second and a half. This is hilarious.
Batman: Arkham City. This is probably one of the only games where I felt the atmosphere within was truly alive. Though I’m sure someone will berate me for not having played games X, Y, and Z which do the exact same thing.
Finished Unreal 2. That was a pretty unexpected twist.
Zandorum + Brutaldoom = get kicked off ANY bus
Played some Battlefield 2142 and some more UT2k4.
I was reading on the Unreal wikis about the Skaarj race and history just before.
I find it really interesting how even though in the first Unreal you are killing the Skaarj because they are trying to kill you, and you’re basically trying to survive - your actions in the first game inadvertently start a war that eventually nearly kills all human civilization.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
