What Game Did You Play Today?

heh, overture was the Last game I played, or maybe Black Plague, anyhow, My last game I played Was today, Dead Space. Totally Epic game, My eyes were stuck on it for 8 hours straight, :fffuuu: Thats very unusual for me.

Just played a little guitar hero…

Nothing yet, about to go play Far Cry 2, or finish the Dev Commentary on Episode Two. Probably the latter.

How can you play Ep2 or Far Cry 2 with a 800MHz CPU?

Assassin’s Creed.
Runs like crap, but looks wonderful.
TF2.
Sacrifice.

My parents have started letting me put a few games on their Core 2 Duo with a 9800 GT in it. The Pentium 3 is still my main computer with my older games and music on it.

Most of the day has been spent on-line racing in the glorious sounding Aston Martin DBR9 (courtesy of EnduRacers Mod Team) in rFactor

I played Red-Alert 1 in LAN against my brother, I MIG’d the shit out of his Construction yard and whore factory!

Wolfenstein (finally beat it, the game gets more and more awesome as you go), Tenchi Muyo (SNES), Company of Heroes

When you say Wolfenstein, you mean the one created this year by Raven Software, right? I’m playing it now and it is even better than Return to Castle Wolfenstein. You have the SS Paranormal Division involved and you get to deal with things of the occult. Just like you said, the game gets better and better as you go. If you’re talking about the old Wolfenstein, that’s a classic too. Though I prefer the new RTCW and Wolfenstein 2009 myself.

Fallout 3, Stalker: Clear Sky and Devil May Cry 4.

Yeah talking about the new one. IMO it’s about as good as RTCW.

Wolfenstein 3D is a classic though.

Playing Wolfenstein, liking it. The combat is very satisfying and they put a lot of effort into the sound.

It’s so stupid that people are triggered to talk about you when you walk beside them though, like you’re not even there.

Edit: And whenever characters talk to you, they’re always looking over your head, or to your side, never actually nearing eye contact.

Gonna try out SimCity Societies… right now

Some more Stalker and DMC4. God DMC is so gorgeous and not much a resource whore. I play it in DX10 mode with Cx16Q AA @ 1024 x 6something and got a solid 30 fps everywhere.

My friend spent the night last night and we played through Half Life 2 in one sitting, this morning.

Just finished Ep. 1 today, god dammit that game is short.

Indeed. Beat it on my Pentium 3 in about 5 hours, first time through.

SimCity Societies is… different… You have much more control on the style of your city, like you can have a totalitarian authority with mindless Sims, or a happyland with amusement parks all over the place, or a green city full of hippies…
But there is much less management than in SC4, for example… You have to take care of the electricity, but it’s very basic… no power lines or anything. No water or waste management…

Hmm, this GameSpy review describes it well:

Wait what problem are you having with it?

I loved those games.
