Hard all the way, unless the hard difficulty is worse then MP3 which I doubt.

We need Black Mesa: Prepare to Die Edition
Normal/Medium, then Hard.
Hard, for sure. I want my experience to be a real challenge. I don’t want to blow through the whole game with ease.
medium first, hard second
Hard, no questions
I’m not sure which but I’m tottering between easy and medium/normal. Medium/Normal would allow me to play it possibly as the devs intended but easy will make it so I die less often (I’m not very good at FPSing…I died many times in Office Complex on hard for crying out loud!) and can enjoy the sights and sounds more without worrying too much about the shit-I-died-now-I-have-to-backtrack-for-several-minutes-to-get-back-where-I-was moments that I frequently have on harder modes.
If I ever played MP/DM, I’d be always in last place.
I’ll start on normal and if its too easy I’ll turn it up to hard.
Also @ the people playing on easy, how dare you be bad at video games.
I might go back and play it on normal after my hard playthrough instead of hard again.
The way I see it, if a game’s more difficult, it’ll last longer, and I want BM to last as long as possible.
I usually play any mods I download on Hard unless the mod explicitly tells me I should play on a lower difficulty because of added challenge. But this gives me an idea for the Got a question thread. runs to Got A Question? thread
I’m gonna play on normal first. I want to look around and enjoy everything the devs have made.
I’m going to keep the difficulty at default settings. I.e presumably medium.
I’m gonna play it just as the team recommend it.
graphic settings: high
Difficulty: Easy

admiring scenery has never been finer. :retard:
playing on easy or medium first and then on hard ruins the challenge of playing on hard
Gonna play on Medium/Normal my first play, and maybe eventually play it on hard.
Bunny hop hasn’t been in Half-Life for years. They removed it when it went on Steam I believe. The only way you can bunny hop now is to manually add a script into the game.
I play DM too much, I recall beating HL1 on Hard. Maybe I’ll give it a try straight off anyways.
Probably Hard. I think that it will be more rewarding once I have beaten a group of hard enemies that took a couple of tries and THEN look at the scenery as i bask in my hard earned sight seeing.
Easy for me. I just find it more believable when enemies don’t take 3 clips of ammo to bring down.
I like the idea of playing it on hard at first to get the most out of the game, then if I feel I didn’t get enough, go back and play on Easy just to look at everything a little better.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
