There are 200 game engines if no more so its hard to say but Graphically Frostbite 2.0, Cryengine 3 and Unreal Engine 3
But Source is best 
Actually I think that Xray is my favorite if only because of how the AI in it works, that you can have thousands of NPC characters doing their own thing. Plus Stalker is pretty much my favorite game series.
Edit: I hope that it’s released to the public once Stalker 2 comes out since it’s on a different engine.
