We got Black Mesa on Steam!

Ha Ha Fantastic hopefully it will have it’s own steam store page by next week with a secondary release date for its steam début.

…only a few days left, the only thing New media would be are spoilers…might aswel wait now and behold all the awesomeness ingame.

Good job getting black mesa Greenlit, there was no doubt about it to begin with tho.

Oh hell yes.

Finally made it on Kotaku!

Awesome stuff. Have valve contacted you for the files yet? Is there an upload button somewhere on your steam pages there, Cman?

EDIT: Black mesa and nine other games. lol

Agreed. I would probably look at new media, but at this point I don’t really care about it. However, didn’t they say there was going to be a new trailer close to release? That would be awesome.

Actual Game > Newer Trailer

However, I guess if there was any delay (which hopefully there won’t be, I wouldn’t mind. I’ve waited around 4.5 years, why not a week or so more.

EDIT: Whatever happens, YAY!

You guys should let us know how the procedure to get it on Steam works out, I’m curious as to what VALVe is going to require from the BM team and such.

It will most likely be like any other game you download off of Steam. The team will probably upload a .cgf or some other form of Black Mesa, and Steam will put it on their download servers. At this point, anyone can download it, just like TF2, for instance.

Well done everyone! I knew it would eventually get on Steam but I didn’t realise how soon!

I leave the house for 1 hour to go for a walk and i come back and Black Mesa is Green lit, great work everyone for spreading the word!

WOOHOOO! Hot shit guys! This is awesome. Good work everyone.

That’s how I realized it, too!

So BM is the first game to be greenlit?

A two day delay will set me back 7 to 8 months. So, I actually wouldn’t be cool with that haha. I’m mad as hell that I’m going to miss out on Borderlands.

Not necessarily.

It is the first on the list, but it is one out of 10 titles to be released through Greenlight.

Congratulations!

Congratulations. I really had no doubt that this would happen, but it is cool to see the news before the official launch.

Strong suspicion that steam launch will include Xen, seeing that it will m.likely take quite a bit of time to sort out.

Great news. This made my day.^^

Although I feel that it’s been 50 years since the project began, I’m glad that it will finally see the light of day… that and the opportunity to make use of some truly outstanding content for when you remake Opposing Force and Blue Shift
