Yes! Good work lads! Can’t wait until I see “Black Mesa” in my Steam list.
Congratulations!
Great! i hope it will be ready on steam on friday! great to see that black mesa is finally coming and being released on the platform it deserves! i can’t wait!
Valve has not yet been in contact with the devs as to how to get the mod onto Steam via Greenlight. I don’t think it’ll be on Steam by Friday. You can still get it, however, via other methods.
Question: Is the final build of Black Mesa already there or are the last details and tweaks now being rounded up for the release this friday?
Black Mesa by “[RUTTAx2] Carlos Montero”… what’s RUTTAx2?
I was wondering that as well…
No way I’m waiting for Steam although I’m well chuffed it’s got the green light.
Sticking to plan A and counting the minutes
rutta rutta
needs more toruses
BM is like a son, we saw it born, grown and now… its going to be released!!!
So it turns out I don’t have school on Friday. iamokwiththis.jpg
I’m not sure about the timezones, but it appears around (or shortly after) the 10 games got greenlit yesterday, valve created 10 test apps at exactly the same time - https://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/search/p/1/sort:app_id/direction:desc
First I saw about the greenlighting was when i got up this morning, i looked at my greenlight tracker graph and saw that 9 of the 10 games had stopped updating, i thought ‘crap i’m going to have to figure out why they’re broken’, but then saw on black mesa’s page it had been promoted to pending, woo! Was a little puzzled as to why Slender (the 10th game on my graph) had continued updating through the night, but if people say it’s nowhere near finished then that sounds like a pretty solid reason for it not to be approved.
It’s a shame really, if this had happened last week, (or if the devs had thoguht they could pull it off on their own) they could’ve used the steam pre-loading system so that everybody’s ready to go at 10:47am on friday (or distributed the encrypted files manually with a decryption tool that can obtain the key at release time which is, i believe, how steam does it). Anyway, looking forward to playing this weekend, regardless.
Awesome news!
i think i won a bet…
Prepare… for unforseen… consequences… <3
In a good way for sure! xD
Can’t wait OMG! -
Will the game be localized into other languages? Such as Russian?
If this is related, then all it means is they reserved those spots for the new games.
They also all share the same sub
The devs are not localizing the content. It’s up to the community to do that. As the teams for different localization efforts are working on their own accord, you can’t say yet, when which language will be available. The groups are loosely organized bmtranslate.darkbb.com
I think there will be voice"mods" of fans.
I have some people to translate it to german
I meant how VALVe works on the backend, what do they request of BM, what paperwork has to be signed, etc…
Of course it’ll download like a normal game off of Steam.
