Vote Valve!

Valve has a support us thing in update news now, also wtf is Zynga never heard of it until today, and they are actually competeing?

Wow so many people are watching it now, that it’s gone down. XD

49.9% valve, 50.1% Zynga!!! COME ON! WE CAN DO THIS!

Zynga = facebook aps. Seriously, I’m not kidding.

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odBDAcOEKuI&feature=player_embedded# for further details.

Don’t worry, it’s a parody, I would never link anybody to anything that seriously promoted any of that shit.

Update: 50% to 50%. They’re adding the Twitter votes now… I just hope it’s enough. I really want Valve to win. And if Valve ends up against Bioware, I’ll be happy for either of them. They are both good developers. Just, so help me, don’t let Zynga become the best ANYTHING other than way to steal poor face-book-ers’ souls.

Update: There’s a 14 vote gap… Valve is just FOURTEEEEEEEEN votes from Zynga…

within 5 votes wow. Valve is now leading

AND VALVE IS IN THE LEAD!

Let’s just hope they aren’t adding votes reverse-alphabetically by Developer…

The gap is getting bigger!! In Valve’s favor! Finally! This is like… Valve just avenged Infinity Ward, Squenix, and Rockstar by winning against Zynga. I just hope they don’t go and piss the gaming world off by letting Zynga win now…

I mean, seriously… Zynga emailed EVERY PERSON WHOSE EVER PLAYED ONE OF THEIR GAMES (or something like that) to vote for them.
Valve just put a one-time update that I didn’t even get till well after the fact saying: Hey, go vote! Seriously, Valve could have put messages all over steam, had every “Content Hosted By:” box have a big image “VOTE VALVE” with a link, but they didn’t. Valve also doesn’t have a facebook kingdom that could just hit a button to vote… So I think this victory is well deserved… So long as it remains a victory…

(PS: Got temp-banned from Escapist forums for accidentally using the word Gay in a heated argument. There were like ten other people with the word gay in that page, but all those got missed…)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ZYGNA IS LEADING. :fffuuu::fffuuu:

EDIT: Haha Hell yes, ahead by 50+ now!

I bet all these forum-thread-display issues are just them trying to make their rigging look believable.

Wow.

Wow, a sixpack ramdisk! That’s impressive… Maybe it’s on a diet…

lmao, btw.

Lol, the connection was reset, and now the server is offline, LMAO!

UPDATE: And Valve is STILL in the lead. By 37 votes. I don’t want to go to sleep till this is over…
now by 40…

as of 2:27 AM (-5 GMT) i was un-able to connect to the escapist web site. 11 minutes prior VALVe surpases ZYNGA in the poll.

funny huh.

zynga’s votes should be cut by half.

wait it is back up and as of 2: 30AM VALVe is ahead by 40 votes!! YAAY!

now by 67 votes.

im out i cant wait to see the results tomarow!!

Up by 77. Now. I don’t care what you feel about Twitter, or if you ever use it again after this, but if you HAVEN’T ALREADY, go make a Twitter account, and attach it to a junk e-mail or something.

THEN…

In twitter, follow @TheEscapistMag
Tweet this: “I voted for @steam_games in Round 5 of The Escapist’s March Mayhem: https://bit.ly/aANIUR #escMM.”
(yes, steam underscore games)

If Zynga can tell it’s players to vote with a simple button to log in, then we can use Twitter to get the votes Valve deserves.

UPDATE: UP BY ONE HUNDRED TEN!!! THAT IS 110!!!

130!!!

I thought you were me posting, seeing as you use my steam avvy.

Also they should let people vote with steam.

VLV +180

200+ as of right now

This is more exciting than THE STOCK MARKET! lmao. Damn, can’t load the page agian, heh…

VLV + 192

I’ll be damned if Valve loses to some shitty Failbook app developer, they have my vote!

And be sure to go take advantage of Twitter. This is is the single best thing Twitter has ever done for me, give me an extra vote to help valve win. But more importantly, to give me an extra vote to make Zynga lose.

If Valve loses we all have to vote for Bioware. If a facebook app developer wins March Mayhem…

well, nothing will happen but it will be very very bad.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
