(Apologies if there’s already a thread about this - I couldn’t find one.)

The Escapist is having a 2010 March Mayhem competition in order for people to vote for their favourite game developer. Currently, Valve are up against Zynga. Zynga, if you didn’t know, is the creator of bland applications such as Farmville and Mafia Wars, that you may have seen spamming up your Facebook page. They are also self admitted scammers who at one point deliberately put shady software into their games in order to make more money. You’d think there’d be no contest, right?

Unfortunately, no. Through rallying their Facebook hordes, Zynga have already managed to dispatch Infinity Ward, Rockstar North and Square Enix, the creators of Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and Final Fantasy respectively, and there’s a good chance they may be able to take down Valve as well. Only by banding together can we defeat the evil that is Zynga, and save the gaming world from its spammy, casual blight!

Honestly. it’s up to the voters. But it doesn’t matter. Win or lose, valve is still better than Zynga. Hands down. If Facebookers can’t realize that. then it’s their loss, not ours.

That is obviously a kid oriented vote, therefore it means nothing as the majority of voters are too young to play Valve games.

I find it quite humorous that Zynga gets more votes than valve. But anyway I really don’t care about these kinds of votes, it’s not like it means anything what some kids think about a company.
