Vote Black Mesa as Mod of the Year on Moddb!

Update 25/12/2012(OR 12/25/2012)

Today Santa has come with an awesome present:

Black Mesa is the Moddb of the Year 2012[/SIZE]

On behalf of Black Mesa dev. team, I want to thank you for your support.

It has been an amazing year and more things are gonna come…

How is it ‘reductive’? It’s a mod, a modification of a game. It may be a content-complete modification of the original game, but it’s still a mod.

Maybe elivance thinks a mod is less of a game so calling Black Mesa “a mod” is “reductive” because it should be “a game”, but regardless, it is “a mod”.

And I have voted for Black Mesa.

^this

Do not waste time in details, call it whatever you want and…Vote it!

What’s Black Mesa?

edit: I hate to break character but you should probably put this on the FB page

Yeah… I thought that one of the devs would do it but they seem too busy with development…
They could improve the PR :stuck_out_tongue:

Your sense of humour leave me speechless :stuck_out_tongue:

You’d have to contact Catz about that.

Sent a PM to Catzeyes93.

Black Mesa needs to be MOTY, really, it’s a legend already

CatzEyes has added a post on Facebook about this topic

thanks for the heads up.

voted, after a few long minutes trying to remember my old moddb account password :stuck_out_tongue:

mod? this is fucking top game

Haha, voted two days ago.

My thoughts exactly.

DayZ (<-- what a horrible name (from a marketing-perspective?!)) is certainly a great contender for this award, but its following @ModDB is only a fraction of that of Black Mesa.

If we all pitch in, this shouldn’t be too much of a challenge.

Anyway, I sincerely hope the Developers have been put under NDA by Valve in order to some how capitalize on their tremendous achievement. This is the only explanation I can come up with in regards to their virtual silence on the whole matter since the release…

Anyone, care to weigh in?

You guys do us proud. =D

From what I remember reading, since they’re going to get a steam release, they’ve signed a NDA meaning they can’t really tell us much (if anything).

As for voting, saw the facebook post. I’ll check out the competition and decide.

Thank you, CatzEyes! Silent appreciation it is…

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
