Just because your a gamer doesn’t mean OSX sucks. I use it for work on a daily basis and I prefer it much more than Windows. It’s easier to navigate, runs faster and doesn’t have all the clunkiness. Yes I have a PC with Windows7 and I do love it, but only because it’s the best OS Microsoft has released to-date not because it’s better than OSX.
Congratulations.
Tell your parents you’ll buy it with cash.
Download it from torrent.

Profit!!! (buy yourself anything you want with the 200$)
Before you ask, no they won’t find out, there’s no difference between legit and pirated software, just tell them the technician installed it and didn’t leave you the box.
Buy the OEM version, as long as you’re doing a fresh install (which you should be doing) it’s $90ish cheaper.
Haha nice plan sersoft. With the extra money he could buy a nice headset or something. I just got the Carcharias (Razor) and they work really well. Just an idea.
I built myself a new headset today(taped a mic to a copper wire attached to a pair of sony headphones). Mostly because my little sister destroyed my old one a few days ago (for the 3rd time) I just happen to have a boss who used to own 3 electronic shops in the 80’s and has no chance of noticing any of his stuff missing since there’s about 10 square meters full of it, so I can get things like wires, speakers, microphones, LED’s, fans, batteries etc.
Out of the 28 reasons I had, my parents rejecte dall but 8
What?
OEM? I was going to get the home premium, only £100
What technician? Also, my parents have my bank details so they would know I was lying.
Your parents are assholes.
I remember last year I asked my step-dad for 200$ to buy a laptop from a friend, he just takes out two hundred bills out of his wallet, no “coming out with reasons” bullshit required.
Here are your ten reasons why you should get Windows 7:
-
Better system performance - You get far more bang for your buck with this particular operating system compared to Vista. Vista was bloated, took up a lot of ram and processor speed just to RUN, let alone launch anything, causing it to be awful on old computers. Windows 7 fixes a lot of these issues, and its really noticeable no matter what computer you’re on.
-
Better use of space - Windows 7 takes up considerably less hard disk space than its predecessor, so its really a no brainer for everyone who cares about how much room they’ve got, since you’ll always fill it up.
-
Better compatibility - Windows 7 fixes a lot of the compatibility issues that Vista had, especially in regards to programs and drivers.
-
Better features - 7 brings a lot of new features to the playground, including a Mac look-alike dock, and better implementation of a lot of feature including Gadgets (a poor Widget knockoff).
-
DirectX 11 - Windows 7 is striving ahead with more advanced gaming technology, ensuring that your hardware will say better supported for longer into the future.
-
Easier upgrade process - The upgrade process from Vista to Windows 7 is seamless and barely takes any time. On the other hand, the upgrade from Windows XP to Vista is inadvisable because of incompatibility issues.
-
Greater longevity - Windows 7 is the latest operating system, meaning that you have greater longevity than with Windows Vista.
More to come…
Vista = Beta version of Windows 7
how about the fact that you load it up and it automatically detects the drivers needed for abc program?
It’s the same, just minus the fancy case and you get 32bit OR 64bit, not both. It’s basically the version that they sell to system builders.

How is there even a comparison, between the previous OS and the development and refinement of THAT SAME OS.
Windows 7 is clearly the way to go
.
It’s like if windows XP was already released and you still bought windows 95 with internet explorer.
Well vista came free with my PC last Xmas.
Also, if you notice, my parents only accepted reasons that would affect me, so stylish, driver and compatability features are not bein g accepted
- doesnt crash
- will be more supported for games et cetera than vista
- fully windows xp compatible
- looks nicer
- boots faster
- doesnt still crash
- will have longer lifespan than vista
7.5) doesnt require so much from your pc (lighter than vista could ever be)
7.99) DirectX 11
8 ) the name is simpler, just plain ol lucky 7, not some vis-to - easier to use than vista, with faster file searches etc, taskbar in 7 > vista/xp
- hasnt still crashed, unless the user is a future mac guy who doesn’t know what a computer is and just wants to open his emails
ROFLMAO
Well, 7 makes my laptop battery last about 25% longer, from 1 hour 30 minutes to a good 1 hour 58 minutes. And all the reasons above.
Driver and compatibility features are going to affect you, especially if you plan on using that computer of yours with anything other then programs and devices made by Microsoft.

What your parents should be considering is whether to purchase windows 7 or XP.
