Besides, if a Barnicle can snap the neck of a Combine Soldier, and even a Combine Elite, but not Gordon’s neck due to the strenth and protection of the Hazard Suit, that’s really saying something. :freeman:
Snake has broken the necks of a variety of soldiers in a variety of armor. I wouldn’t put an HEV suit past him.

If Gordon doesn’t walk around in circles and not even turn the fuck around and see that Snake is right fuckin there then Snake would totally win.
Well typically Gordon tends to eradicate everything in front of him, thus eliminating his need to ever look back. 
Barely, it was a hard choice for me, and I think the (almost) 50/50 ending was as good as it would ever get. But I’ve been familiar with Metal Gear longer than Half-Life, so, hey.
If anything it’s an argument about Snake’s neck-breaking abilities vs the material of Gordon’s HEV suit.
