I clicked on Gordon’s option, but it told me I voted for Snake. I raised an eyebrow and clicked on Gordon once more, it told me that was not possible. At this point I am confused and slightly suspicious. I refresh the page and try again, but this time as I try to click Gordon, I notice a flicker as a press down on the mouse button. Trying again, I record the situation. In extreme slow motion, I notice that right as I click, Gordon’s picture turns to Solid Snake snapping Gordon’s neck. Now I’m frightened and disturbed. What was this? Some sort of joke? It had to be, right? For the past three days I have noticed an overturned cardboard box in the corner of my eye, seemingly always inching itself nearer and nearer. Today I revisited the poll, only now do I see the faint outline of Snake in the background, blending in with the rubble, a knife in one hand and Alyx’s necklace in the other. And his eyes, oh Jesus, his eyes… I know it, I’m being watched. I don’t have much time, I can see the box now out my window, sitting so innocently on the side of the street.
