Yes, it does not have a face. However doesn’t that make it look all the more “Alien”. Well I understand what you mean about it not feeling like a foe, its simply a connotation you have developed with the idea of an enemy. For example an enemy in many games could be considered the ground, due to gravity it kills people. Some people I know die more from falls then actual opponents. It this case your enemy is an alien by definition it should not be familiar, even without looking at realism.
Ultimately, if they wanted the aliens to be human, they’d give them faces. If they wanted them to be alien, and thus mysterious, they would make them
a) Hide behind their machines and
b) Not particularly human
Its really an obvious design choice that works. Alien aren’t humans, don’t make them humans.
The game was running real-time on a PC but set-up like it was a console.
When I first played Crysis Warhead (never played Crysis), I was never really sure whether the things I was fighting were aliens or robots. But then again, I didn’t really care if I was fighting a giant futuristic robot or a cyborg alien.
Well, had you played the original…
I mean seeing it on a high end PC maxed out [When it comes out]. Do you want it via Fraps or HD camera?
Oh, lol, whatever you fancy the most, I guess?
I’m really curious how well my comp will be able to handle Crysis 2. I hope at the very least high/very high settings.
Ya know, thats kinda hight for your “very least” expectation.
One of the most popular alien alien designs lacks that feature as well, but that’s more just nitpicking.
More importantly, why would a non-human-like fictional stuff be any more realistic than a human-like fictional stuff? It’s still just fictional stuff either way, where talking about realism is a moot point.
You can handle 1080p videos yeah?
Yeah, of course I can. What do you mean with all those questions?
I think he’s coming on to you.
Thanks for the cock block…
Read above…
