it does not matter if it’s fake or real we seek to detail as much as possible to create an outstanding video experience it does not matter what program or tools they use but what they can offer us is important if there exist a process which can create some very high definition textures can be applied is a role model

What is your problem? if a program like matte painting can create some realistic pictures like that; shows that such specific of new source engine which evolves in performance from year to year can be created some models or textures samples with such programs like matte painting if you dont understand the right sense of my words dont argue elsewhere!
in goldsource engine of Half Life there are no texture files they use pictures in bmp or png format like texture files those pictures were textures applied in game in source is the same but in form of texture files

Not true. The rendering of such a realistic program probably take minutes to finish. The rendering in a game can’t take more than a fraction of a second. It is already possible to render images that look like real photos, but the current video cards, even in crossfire, can’t render them in a reasonable speed for gaming.
