I was being humorous by pointing out that the original Starcraft was ported to consoles, because apparently it’s such a big deal if Starcraft 2 happens to be ported over as well. Though it’s very unlikely that’ll ever happen.

It’s well known that Lost and Valve have made frequent nods to each other throughout the series. Just wondering if this was one of them and whether it’s something that we can expect in Portal 2?

I can imagine valve parodying lost but i doubt that lost would have reciprocated with spy’s and cans of bonk conveniently placed around the island…
TF2 isn’t Valve’s only game, you know. Maybe you’ve heard of this one called Half Life?
So Valve noticed several Half Life references in Lost (such as Jack’s father appearing and disappearing like G-Man, some guys playing HL1 in one episode) and decided to talk to J.J. Abrams. When Abrams said he was a big fan of Half Life, Valve promised to include an easter egg in Episode 2. Which they did.
Anyways, the point is it went both ways.

According to an interview with the lead writer for Portal 1 & 2, the main reason that HL & Portal were connected, was so they could recycle HL2 assets. There’s not going to be much if any more connections between the two than what’s already been established. 10:00
