So back on topic, this is what happened at E3:

  1. Valve announced the Portal 2 event
  2. They cancelled the Portal 2 event
  3. They announced a surprise
  4. They announced Portal 2

Could someone point me to the location of the surprise? Other than “well we didn’t expect them to release Portal 2 after cancelling the Portal 2 event”.
